The food was pretty good, it didn't feel super fresh. The pumpkin latte had absolutely no pumpkin taste to it. I would've never known it was a special flavor. Very limited seating and pretty pricey

Safai has the perfect atmosphere. It’s good for getting work done or just chilling and it’s also a great place to talk and be with friends. The crepes are all homemade and delicious; I recommend The Mexican Sunrise! The frozen latte is my go to drink, but a cheaper option is the cold brew. Both are super good! The prices are about average for a Louisville coffee shop. Lots of seating, including a meeting room that you can reserve. One of my favorites in the city!

We were disappointed that they didn't offer the crepes anymore. Usually that was the reason we went there. The coffee is still good. But, with no crepes on the menu, I am afraid it will be my last time there.

They don’t sell their crepes after 4pm but still a good place to go and get some work done. They have sandwiches there that you can get warmed up.

An okay coffee shop, nothing special, nothing that bad. Glad they do pour overs. I’ve had both pleasant and annoying experiences here.
The unfortunate truth most people won’t admit is that the quality of your drink highly depends on the specific barista making it. Get someone who cares about their job having a good day, you’ll have a quality experience. Get someone who hates being there and feels annoyed by you, your drink is likely gonna suck.
That’s just how coffee shops go. If you want to blame anyone blame the managers who create the work environment. If you constantly have a bad experience with every employee, stop to consider if you’re the common denominator.

My favorite little coffee spot in the whole city. Friendly staff, excellent coffee and they offer beer as well. Love the atmosphere, surrounded by plants and pottery and all kinds of pretty little things that make it super cozy.

I first tried this place in 2018 and it was definitely 5 stars. We went out of our way to stop there on a trip in 2022 and things had changed. The latte I ordered was barely drinkable. Very sad

We ordered a cappuccino and a latte and the milk was horribly burnt on both. :( Would not recommend to fellow coffee lovers, unfortunately.

Pandemic coffee... Don't love the outdoor window only. Limited outdoor seating. Hard to read menu, but decent coffee and crepes. Definitely would be better just to order indoors. Pour over light roast was just ok.

The coffee shop experience is back with Safai. They have great coffee and wonderful lattes if you are into those.
The space is larger that is seems from the outside. The environment fits about everyone. There are a few coves for more private enjoyment. They have plenty of table and chairs for working, studying or enjoy a chat with a friend. In the front more of the bar type seating when windows looking out on the cross streets. You always sit up front and be entertained by the people that pass by. Finally, when the weather is nice they have plenty of seating on the sidewalks. Base on the location you going to be able to find shady seating on one of the sidewalks.
If you only stopping in for a cup of coffee, they only have pour overs. No drip coffee. Of course, the pour-over is worth the wait but if there is a line you can wait a bit.
