If you like overpriced items that aren't vintage definitely shop here. They don't haggle and don't even know what they are selling. Wanted to buy a coat, they didn't know what material it was and wanted more than it was worth. Sadly, won't be back. The ladies were nice that worked there at least.
Wonderful store! I realized how old I am (66 years old) when I saw so many things from my childhood. The staff is kind & amazing. I was able to find two old treasures.
I would highly recommend this store to anyone interested in mid-century items. It is so much fun to see that items I once thought were "ugly" in the 1960's are now in vogue.
This place is an absolute dream, they have so many cool vintage items and it’s definitely worth going to!! If your looking for something particular they will always let you know if they have that or when they get something in that your looking for!
This place is amazing and a hidden gem in Lexington. It truly is curated vintage finds. There's no junk to dig through which is awesome. Walking into the store I'm like "I want it all!" and I'm sure my wallet cries a little 🤣I bought several Christmas gifts for family here.
I absolutely love The Domestic! There are new treasures every time you go. The owners are so friendly and happy to help you pick out some new stuff. If you follow them on social media, you will see all of the fun updates they post everyday. This is a true Lexington gem!
Candace’s plant game is so strong. Ask her to recommend a fun plant baby to take home!
This shop is a neighborhood treasure! Today I visited for the second time -- every booth I walk by I see something that makes me say "oh, I love that!" Plus, there's a shop cat. Need I say more? I think there's a lovely balance between antique and newer items, everything is in solid condition. The prices sometimes are a little high between shops, but small business owners gotta make money, too! I'm bringing every friend I have to shop here because there's something for everyone.
My new favorite vintage store! So much better than having to dig through a bunch of stuff to find something good, everything in this store is a gem. From furniture, to clothes, to rugs, to records, they have everything and I especially like their selection of midcentury modern things. Definitely worth a visit!
One of my favorite stores! I am from the Lexington area but live in Chicago now, and this is always a stop I have to make when I’m in town! I also love being able to buy things through Instagram and have one of my family member pick it up for me, or have them hold it in store if I’ll be back in town soon. Prices are extremely reasonable!!!
LOVE THIS PLACE! It’s full of various booths from vintage and thrift hunters but it’s all one big warehouse store. It’s a dream of a spot with super nice people and amazing finds. If you like vintage, mid century modern, kitsch - then this is a must stop! Come here every time I’m in Lexington.
I love that you can buy items off of their Instagram and they will ship. Always a good selection of furniture, rugs, and even medical vintage items.
The Domestic is my FAVORITE vintage shop in Lexington! It’s the perfect size- large, but not overwhelming, and is home to a well-stocked collection of clothing, art, furniture, and, let’s be real- your new favorite vintage piece. Everything in The Domestic is heavily curated in the best way, so you don’t have to sort through lots of booths to find one thing you like- the booths are very well done and the items rotate through pretty quickly. I rarely find the same items twice. My favorite part of The Domestic is their collection of rugs- they seriously are to die for. Not only have I found some of my favorite pieces in my home here, but The Domestic is one of the top places on my list when I have company in town- we always have to stop by! The owners are lovely and very happy to accommodate you, and if you’re lucky, you may get a glimpse of the shop cat, Colonel. I absolutely would rate The Domestic a solid five stars- if you haven’t been yet, you have to visit one of Lexington’s best kept vintage secrets soon!
