Chocolate Holler

A sister to A Cup of Commonwealth, Chocolate Holler has rapidly become one of, if not my favorite, places to get a cup of coffee. Their specialty is chocolate in all forms, so you should definitely drop in if you have a sweet tooth.

Their hot chocolate is some seriously next level stuff. I have a go to order of their Orange Cocoa with espresso and the consistency is astounding. Becca, one of the baristas and managers, is an absolute pleasure to chat with and the same goes for all of the other baristas that grace the counter. They are outgoing, friendly, and welcoming to the point that I often find myself chatting for 10 to 15 minutes at a time about anything and everything. I love this place and if you're in the area you should absolutely stop by and show them your support.

Another bonus: the atmosphere has a solid "study here into the waning hours of the evening, or sit and catch up with friends for hours" vibe. A definite 11/10 in my book.

Their dark sippable chocolates are absolutely amazing! Has a very wide variety of different drinks, can't wait to try them all.

2022 update; they increased their prices, and now have a lot less dark chocolate selection and trended to more sugary drinks. One of the people mentioned some shipping issues with certain chocolates and that was really sad to hear. I'm really disappointed but still go there, since they're the only drinkable chocolate place here in Lexington. Still, excellent coffee, would ALWAYS take them over Starbucks.

I love Chocolate Holler. I am a major chocolate lover, so the sipping chocolate is definitely my fave and unique part of the experience compared to a typical coffee shop but also enjoy the coffee drinks. I often visit with friends and sit and play board games and find friendly service and other friendly folks in the store. I also hate parking in that area of town usually, but there is a good amount of parking around close by, and the store will give you some change if you need some to park at a meter. Overall, I highly recommend it.

Wonderful customer service and my favorite coffee drink in Lexington so far! The barista (I forgot her name, I'm so sorry!!!) was wonderful in recommending drinks and chatting with me and suggesting places to visit in Lexington since I'm new to the area. Thank you so much and I'll 110% be coming back!

Such a great local shop! We love the vanilla latte extra sweet. The peanut butter bars are amazing too. We love having our Sass In The Bluegrass biz meetings here! Highly recommend!

Excellent coffee used to be one of my favorite coffee shops, but it’s hardly ever open, who opens a coffee shop at 2?

Unique, great quality, and great service! Probably not the best for vegans (I didn't see one vegan pastry). If you have a chocolate craving, this is the place for you! One of the bear drinks with honey was too sweet to drink, but the sleepy bear was pretty good! Definitely recommend.

We stumbled on this place during a vacation to Lexington. Such a fun little shop! The hot chocolate and the sipping chocolate were delicious. The staff was so wonderful and helpful and nice. I would highly recommend stopping by!

For a chocolate place they have pretty tasty cold brew. But the real selling point of this place is all the different chocolate-based drinks they have. The super friendly baristas (or chocolatiers if you would) are more than happy (and knowledgeable) to recommend a delicious offering for you. The atmosphere is also super cozy.

Excellent coffee shop. Went in for an Americano and they were having some trouble with the espresso machine, and let me know that's why it was talking a while.

They gave me a card for a free coffee on my next visit because of this. Great customer service, friendly staff .
