Nice clean store. I love the smell of coffee. A few to choose from, but not an overwhelming amount. Knowledgeable staff helps you along the way, by explaining flavor and what you will be getting out of it. Support local business by picking up appeal along the way. I enjoyed my time there.

I had a wonderful experience at Local Roasters. I received a bag of their coffee as a gift several months ago and figured I would try it out. I am a huge fan of dry/natural-processed coffee and finding that locally is almost impossible. Local Roasters had several different kinds! I was blown away.. Not only that, but the owner took the time to explain the subtle differences in the roasts they chose and the flavor profile. The owner is the one who roasts the coffee.. right there in the back room which is in view.

I can't tell you how incredibly rare this is to find someone who is both a roaster and willing to casually talk about their work to a customer. Normally they are spending their time running the business... aka roasting coffee.. and someone else does the selling. Not here.

They had an incredible amount of coffee for sale. Of note is that the variety/roast/type of coffee for sale depends on a lot of factors such as availability and what is complemented by the in-house roasting process. They get the privilege of being picky here which means anything that hits the shelf is a winner. If you haven't been, check it out!

One of my sons and I have a hobby; trying a variety of coffees and looking for our favorite. We have thought we’d found the best... until we tried Local Roasters. We bought three of their smaller bags of whole bean coffee and were delighted with all three.

The young man working there on the day we visited was friendly and helpful. Prices were quite fair. Quality was uniformly excellent. There are a variety of interesting and unique types of bagged whole bean coffee.

Coffee is always good. They will grind it however you choose.

During the beginning of quarantine I began diving in to different culinary veins: pickling, sourdough, fermenting and coffee. I began searching out the best coffee in Wichita and when I discovered Local Roasters, I never went back. Actually, that’s not accurate. One morning I had to go somewhere else since I was out of coffee and tried going on the ONE day a week they were closed. My mistake. I had to suffer through that week of poor coffee, but I never made that mistake again. At the end of last year I moved to Chicago and I still find myself clinging to the Ethiopia Limu light roast for my daily cup. It’s got some incredible blueberry and strawberry notes that I particularly enjoy. I’ll usually keep that one on hand and then if something else like a special “we just got one bag of this and we’re never going to get it again” comes in, I’ll usually get that as well. Up until recently I didn’t have a proper grinder and they definitely do. If you find a grind you like, you can tell them exactly what number on the grinder you want and they grind it to that. If anyone’s wondering, mine was 7 1/4 for the Limu for a pour over. They’re very nice and very helpful if you kinda know what you like but don’t know what they have specifically that you’ll like. Like I said, I live in Chicago now and these are the only beans I buy. Nothing even comes close.

After trying a plethora of online coffees, this place has been an eye opener on how good coffee can be. The coffee itself is amazing, and the head roaster, Colby, is truly an artisan. When Colby gets to talking about the roasts, you can tell why they taste so good. You can tell that the people here care 100% about the quality, and there's no way they would let anything other than the most delicious tasting notes make it to their shelves.

Such a pleasure to have them in ICT. Keep up the good work!

Happened upon this gem on a walk down Douglas. The amazing aroma of coffee is the first thing that welcomes you. Second is the lovely young lady, Summer. She was so sweet and helpful in helping me pick the perfect coffee for my taste. She recommended the Costa Rica Jaguar Honey, a medium roast that is the perfect way to start off every morning. Thank you Summer, I'll be back soon!

I left there with not only some great coffee, but also with an abundance of education and tips for brewing my coffee at home. It is evident the owner has tremendous passion for the art of roasting quality coffee and is incredibly eager to assist with any questions and advise.

The staff here was super friendly and they were super knowledgeable in their product. The place smells like fantastic coffee and the products I have had before are extremely tasty.
