Kahwatea Coffee Shop

The ppl are so nice! However, the coffee tasted was terrible. I ordered an Americano bc i needed a coffee fix… not sure what coffee they use but definitely have a bitter taste.

Ventured in after hearing about this place online, tried a cappuccino and a mocha. Both tasted wonderful! Very kind staff and overall a great experience

If you want to experience a bit of North African culture in Shawnee, or if you just love good coffee, try out Kahwatea. Not only is the coffee delicious, but the service is great. The owner gave me Moroccan mint tea on the house when he heard I’d studied abroad there, and this coffee shop is like being transported back to the coffee places I loved in Morocco. 10/10 will be back.

Best hazelnut latte I've had, also amazing crepes. Had the chocolate crepe with strawberries and it was worth every cent. The place was laid out to be very comfy to sit and hang out in. Highly recommend!

I’m afraid I may not have had as good of experience as others who have reviewed.

I went in and met the barista at the counter. I asked him what the kawhatea was and he didn’t really seem to have an answer for me. I just was really curious as it was unfamiliar to me.

I ordered a hot mocha to go, usually one of my favorite coffee drinks, and what I got tasted more like a very sweet hot chocolate with only the suggestion of coffee. It was far too sweet for my tastes.

This place is close to where I live so I will probably give it another shot. I love finding local coffee shops and I hope this one has more to offer.

When I saw this place popped up I made a bee line to check the hours. Had a chance to stop by after dinner next door and grabbed a mocha. The gentleman who served me was polite, and took care with making my drink. Both the coffee and pastry were not overly sweet, and the mocha was smooth. We will be back to try Kahwa tea since we weren't aware it was another name of a type of chai herbal tea. ( Which we love to drink ) Looking forward to showing our friends this coffee shop!

I'm hooked on their pumpkin caramel latte! Their frappuccinos are also delicious and pretty😍

In my opinion, their coffee and espresso is better than the big name coffee shops I usually go to.

One of the best coffee shops in the area, service is always perfect, food is always on point, and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. Always looking forward to this place with my friends.. !!
