Staff are always nice. The coffee and tea selection is great and cheaper then Starbucks across the street. Pastries are tasty. Very warm and inviting inside too.

A favorite go-to coffee for Hutch locals. The Metro is your classic coffee shop offering delightful coffee drinks in a relaxing environment. Get out of your car and savor how coffee was intended to be enjoyed.

I just want to communicate my experience and speak to the extreme stance the Metro took on masking during Covid. Going so far as to treat those not wearing a mask as if they were lepers and refusing service based upon this alone. Upon arriving one Saturday some kid with a man bun literally yelled at me and my family, in front of a line of customers, and then proceeded to kick me out of the store right as we were walking in. Due to no mask. Not only was that unnecessary, but embarrassing. Despite not being sick, not being exposed to anyone who was sick, etc.
My family of 5 used to get coffee here every Saturday morning and our bill was around $40 each visit. That’s $160 a month and roughly $1900 a year that goes to Scuttlebutts now. I hope you understand the economic impact of treating your customers as if they are the problem, and also hope those reading this choose to spend their money elsewhere.

The coffee was yummy and service was great! I went there to enjoy the live music and the venue was welcoming and the music the perfect volume for this 40+ yr old thank you so much metropolitan coffee :)

I normally come here during the winter months. Today I stopped in to get prices for catering a back to school teachers in-service. The prices were amazing and the owner knows how to really go the extra mile... litteraly! She will bring and set up all for any party locally. She can do so many different kinds of coffee and teas. So happy!! Not to mention this hot chocolate is AMAZING!!

I am in love with this coffee shop! I love the gluten free choices with their baked goods, and I love the wide range and variety of the menu. Anything You Can Dream up, you can have made into a reality at this Shop! The last time we came, we got a gluten-free double chocolate chip brownie. It was excellent! Loaded with big chunks of chocolate and so moist! And I ordered a Cherry amaretto Frappuccino and it was SO GOOD. I really love the environment, and of course, the staff is super friendly.

Cute hometown atmosphere and very sweet staff. Loved my scone! Knocking off a star because they totally didn't put espresso in my iced latte... So I paid for vanilla milk 🤪 I didn't realize until I left, but I could hardly fault them. It was busy and there was just one girl working.

My go to coffee place in Hutch. But oddly only 3 stars. I've experienced coffee houses in many locations. What holds Metro back is the general ambivalence of their staff. Two years of near daily patronage and they almost never speak. Scuttlebutts has the exact opposite issue...wonderful staff who actually remember you and what you drink...but a lousy roast choice and cold coffee randomly. Wish I could combine both places. I can't tell if the staff is just quiet, or actually resents customers. But I keep going back. Partly I wonder of It's just me, and maybe I've been spoiled by some excellent coffee house experience....but I doubt it.
Huge props on the coffee...it's best in Hutch.
* EXCELLENT COFFEE
* AMBIVALENT TO THE POINT OF SILENCE, STAFF.

I had to spend a few hours in Hutchinson while my vehicle was getting worked on, so I went to this place up get some work done. It wasn't particularly quiet, but the atmosphere was nice. I was able to find a table near an outlet without issue.
I ordered hot tea, which ended up being mediocre. The tea was fine, but the water wasn't hot enough to brew properly. Still, this is typical for a small town coffee shop.
After that I ordered a coconut milk caramel latte. That was delicious! They must use a higher fat coconut milk, because there was excellent foam on top, approaching a cappuccino instead of a latte. The end was a bit sweet, so I didn't end up finishing it, but I'd still order it again!
They had free WiFi that was sufficient for my needs. I'd definitely go there again if I am in a similar situation.

My $5 medium vanilla latte is pure syrup and whatever kind of cream that is. It’s really gross. Quick service though!
