Grounds For Celebration

The website claims house made gluten free pastries alongside normal food and pastries. In reality, there are two pre-packaged, expensive GF cookies. Disappointed in the false advertising. My latte is overheated. Sad.

Regular roasts and lattes do not taste very good, but their flavored roasts are pretty delicious. A good atmosphere and all right customer service.

Really good espresso and tasty treats. Took a cinnamon roll and a coconut cake home-- both were good, I only wish that we had eaten them sooner haha!

This used to be a good coffee shop but the service today was horrible. Both the girls working were carrying on their conversation with me at the register trying to order, completely ignoring me. They had such attitudes when I DARED to interrupt their conversation so they could do their jobs.. Used to love this place but the service today was horrible compared to other times.

My favorite coffee shop, period! The coffee is consistently good! They have a standard and they don't waver from it. They know my regular order and are always friendly, which makes you feel good. The prices are reasonable enough to enjoy a daily coffee. Also, it is a perfect study atmosphere, not too loud and perfect lighting.

I'm pleased with this place. I have started stopping here because Starbucks always has a line around the building (and their coffee is mediocre). The coffee at Grounds is much better the service is faster and the pricing is similar. I think that pretty well sums it up.

Went through the drive through. Usually I don't have a problem with this place other than once in a while it's busy for 1 person so you may have a small wait. But, I think(not sure) it's locally-owned, and the customer service is usually excellent. They by far have the best tasting sugar free syrup, as a diabetic is my new go to place if they're open.

Barista was very judgemental and borderline rude when I ordered a latte without additional flavor. Price was nearly 25% more than what was posted on the menu. When I inquired, barista simply pointed to a tiny note on one of the menus which stated "..our pricing has increased on some items" If a regular latte is 25% more I imagine all menu items have changed in price substantially. Long wait time despite not being super busy. Latte tasted fine - nothing to write home about. For the same price (and better service and product), I'd recommend going elsewhere

The best place for true coffee taste. I think it is the best cup Des Moines has to offer.

Incredibly rude as soon as we walked in, didn’t really greet us at all just kind of looked at us. Then walked away while we looked at the menu. Everything we said was just nods and grunts. It was very odd. We were really excited for this local place by our house but won’t be back because of the service
