The Fruited Plain Café

First time - ordered LG iced caramel latte - only $2! Was very surprised. It was so cheap and it was decent tasting

Love this coffee shop. Service is great. The flat bread pizza is delicious! They have coffees, beers, and a seelction of wines. They have other food options as well, but the pizza is the way to go. Cozy atmosphere and plenty of seating. Really charming place for small town Iowa, could call it a "hole in the wall" sort of place.

Loved this place when in college for the laid back atmosphere and live music. Now, whenever I visit home, my wife insists on going in for a French press and breakfast. This place stands up in quality outside of small town Iowa and it's always fun to go back.

This is my absolute favorite coffee shop and cafe to visit! I choose to come here almost daily and spend time with my friends. I highly recommend it to anyone living in town or just passing through. If you want an amazing coffee or meal, The Fruited Plain is the best place to go!

The coffee is reasonably priced, the atmosphere is a perfect balance between old and new, the coffee and espresso is great and the staff are very knowledgeable.

It's the perfect place to get either a great imported beer or a warm latte, or BOTH! Don't be afraid to ask the staff for help either, they know how to recommend something great for whatever your preference.

The flatbread pizzas were really good but the service was uninspiring. Had to ask for water pitcher to be refilled twice, didn't get silverware, and it took quite a while to get our food. Kind of the laid back atmosphere you come to expect from the Fruited Plain.

Great food, atmosphere and service

Has the coffee shop atmosphere, but the building isn't kept up that well and selection is smaller than other places. Every once in a while they have live bands playing in the back that are pretty good, usually really loud but good.

The coffee is good and there are fun options. The atmosphere is super chill! Good for studying too!

I go here frequently both with friends to socialize and alone to study or read. The food and drinks are always delicious, and the staff is always very friendly. The live music is also very nice. Definitely would recommend.
