Mr. Beans

My work team and I went to Mr. Beans during Flood 2016 to work in their meeting room. The staff was great to work with getting the room reserved for the morning.

At lunch time, I had the Peppercorn Steak Salad with the Tomato Basil Vinaigrette. Amazing. Good mix of greens and thinly-sliced steak. Plus, good coffee. :)

Nice large searing area with a “with it” atmosphere. Busy at lunch. Great sandwiches. We like the pastrami Rubin. Best German potato salad I’ve had. Tastes like mon’s.

Great sandwich shop. The Farmhouse Club is awesome. So are the cookies. Always friendly staff too. One of my favorite lunch spots.

I worked here so I'm biased but Mr. Beans is the best coffees and sandwich shop I've ever been to. Their steamers are great, as well as their chai tea. Their sandwiches are addicting, and I love their soups and breakfast pizza. If I could get their chocolate muffins shipped to me, I would. 10/10

Drink was tasty. Though flow of service was a little off; some confusion. One server Manning food station was rude; overheard her muttering loudly about the length of time it took us to view the menu, though we had just arrived and I hadn't been there before. Not likely to return.

My wife and I "re-discovered" Mr. Beans in December. We love the food, the staff and the ambiance. We live in SW Cedar Rapids, so we plan our trips to Marion with a Mr. Beans lunch or dinner as part of our agenda. Personal favorite sandwich: "The Harper"! We love everything we've ever tried! Far superior to any other soup, salad or sandwich shop in the area! Love the drinks also!

We have been going here for years. The sandwiches are excellent. They have both breakfast and lunch and some very good baked goods. The setting is charming and the coffee is great.

I love mr beans. The staff is always super friendly. Everything I've tried off the menu has always been great. I personally like to call my orders in so I can stop in and pick it up top keep things moving.

Being in Portland, I will admit I’m spoiled with regards to great coffee. Walked in and they do not know how to make specialty drinks (think Ices mochas and such) definitely need training. Watching them try was a bit painful. I should have asked for my money back. The drink was horrible. Please understand I did not try their food and can’t comment on that. I won’t be back.

I'm so HAPPY Mr. Beans is back in full force! This is one of our most Favorite places to eat. Great people who own and great employees. Great food! Welcome Back Mr. Beans! You were missed by many! 😋👍😃👏
