Decent menu, reasonable prices, huge portions. Didn't care for my meal but I think most of the breakfast foods sounded delicious. Giving 3 stars for the awful service. Once the waitress brought my food, I never saw her again. Waited for at least 15 minutes after I was finished eating, hoping for a refill on my drink and a carryout container. Finally stood up to get a carryout container myself, another waitress saw me approaching and got one for me. I think my meal was supposed to come with dessert, but I was so tired of waiting I just walked up to pay my bill. Finally saw my waitress again when she came out from the back to ring up my bill. No apology, no acknowledgement that she had done anything wrong. I hope you have better luck than I did.

Fun, friendly staff give excellent service, and the food quality is spot on. Add to that HUGE portions at a reasonable price with a daily all-you-can-eat special, and you can't go wrong. Almost always leave with leftovers, so come hungry. Did I mention the portions were HUGE? Well worth an hour drive -- both ways!

Friendly and helpful waitress. Food was served in a timely manner...hot, great presentation and flavor, and huge portions! Very reasonably priced! We will return to try more of their menu options!

Best breakfast food in IOWA!!!! Hands down!!! I recommend the skillets and country fried steak. It gets warm inside and the service isn’t always the greatest or fastest. You are guaranteed to get great food with huge portions.

Hands down one of the best places to have breakfast! Amazing food and big portion sizes, definitely worth it! The atmosphere is wonderful, staff and other customers are very nice.

This was my first time eating at Sunrise Cafe and it won't be my last! My husband and I were in a golf tournament with friends and tried to eat somewhere new. They didn't open until 5 and it was after 2:30. So they thought of going to one close to their home in Legrand. "Oh my goodness " if you want "down home country food" you've gotta stop here! The customer service is amazing! The food is absolutely delicious and large portions! You can always take home for another meal which we love! You wanna talk about "variety" They have it! I don't do reviews unless I'm serious! They also serve breakfast all day! We will be back to try other fixings!! God bless you all who work hard at this wonderful cafe! ((Hugs))

Wonderful breakfast. Food was great. Will go again to try something else. Very friendly servers. Very busy place. If you leave there hungry it is your own fault. Proces are great.
