The Java House - First Ave

My first time to this location, and as an entrepreneur it was great to see lots of open seating (and a lot of seating in general) because I don't have time to bop around until I find a coffee shop with extra seats.

Great coffee, great ambiance, really great staff. You can also get a sweet treat or pastry. Love!

You're like required to go to Java house. It's like the essence of Iowa City... But Prairie lights has better drinks. Except Java house has good pour over coffee.

Everything is great, I recommend the lemon poppyseed muffin- anyway, I tried their lavender drink... that was nasty. Don’t drink that drink. Literally everything else on the menu is fine tho

A great place to meet with friends, grab a cup of coffee, and read a rainy day away. We're lucky to have this locally owned gem in Iowa City.

The sort of ambiance other cafés are trying to have. The sort of coffee other coffee is trying to be. Will be coming back.

Great place to study and catch up with friends. Quiet and open atmosphere. Not near as busy as the one downtown. Friendly baristas.

Best deal is to sip tea there as to take away. More you,money. There was a sofa that qas not so comfy and should be trashed. Someone could get injured.
