I came here in between a conference visit in March and the menu looked incredible I wished I could have tried everything! I love the concept of coffee and flowers - they could even blow up balloons and make customizations. Plus, the had conchas 😍 The staff was super friendly and sweet!

Such a cozy place in downtown IC, perfect for a quick bite. My husband and I visited for breakfast; we had the chorizo burrito and it's ah-mazing! Super filling and so tasty!! The Dulce de Leche and Horchata Fraps are really good too.

The staff is really nice, they smile and greet you so kindly. I recommend you visit this coffee shop whenever you get a chance.

Today was my first time to visit this place. I took my friend for coffee and tasty pastries. We had the Horchata Latte(hot) Pastelitos de Guayaba y queso y Quesadilla. Everything was so good and delicious. The Owner are so nice and pleasant to speak with. They have a great selection of pastries, sandwiches. They have American and Latino hot and cold drinks. Well worth experiencing new flavors. Give it a try and you won't regret it.....

I cannot say enough good things about this local gem in Iowa City! My fiancé took me here for my birthday to grab breakfast, and I immediately fell in love with Mammitas' take on a cup of Chai. I highly recommend ordering it with oat milk for a creamy, decadent treat any time of day. The pan tostado was delicious -- though much larger than I expected -- and I enjoyed the reheated leftovers just as much as I did when it was fresh. If you're looking for a sweet treat to hold you over, while you cannot go wrong with their flan, I suggest trying their pastelitos. They taste even better than they look (and they look beautiful). And don't forget to check out the back patio space they have tucked away behind the building! The only complaint I have is that I wish they were open for dinner hours. We look forward to supporting this local small business for many years to come.

Awesome food, super friendly staff and owners! Went in on a whim and so glad we did cause this will now be a regular. We got the Cuban sandwich, carnitas tacos, congris, horchata, and dulce de leche, and all were so delicious!! The back patio was a cute cozy place to eat as well.

Such a cute, friendly, and tasty environment! The owner has great recommendations for food and drinks. Coffee is delicious and not shy on portion sizes. I love this place! I will be coming back often.

Delicious guava pastry! I ordered the dulce de leche latte but they actually made me horchata latte. The horchata latte was so delicious I didn’t mind getting the wrong one! The shop is super cute with a nice little fireplace and tv. Will definitely be back.

A MUST-TRY in Iowa City - WOW!!! Authentic Latin flavors, welcoming staff, cozy seating — we should have come here sooner!!! They’ve got great breakfast & lunch options
.hearing the description of their process to make the Cuban sandwich from scratch, oh my!
.homemade desserts from all over Latin America
.the food is mixed with influence from the owners’ experience in LA & Miami
.and yes, the horchata latte is all the other reviewers said & more! Check out this Iowa City gem of a small business next time you’re out for coffee or to meet a friend, or order in with GrubHub!

It is nice to see a Latinx owned coffee shop in the area, and Mammitas serves up some really solid drinks. Their horchata with espresso was delicious, as was the concha. My girlfriend got a mango smoothie and it was very smooth and tasty. Overall I had a very great experience with the new shop. My only critiques is being confused on the board it says “hot?cold?” but was told they don’t do the horchata cold. That can be misleading if it is not offered cold. Another critique is the soft breads being fairly steep in price, with a concha being $3.50 when I can get one at a supermercado for $1. Other than that, I feel the drinks are priced fairly for what you get, and it is an overall very cute and homey experience.
