What a breath of fresh air to the north side of Iowa City! Dodge Street Coffee is the perfect place for a meeting with clients, friends, or to catch up on some work. They have an adorable kid play space that gives busy parents a bit of respite while sipping on a coffee. To go options for food are plentiful and allergy friendly. The bakery selection is insane, everything from delicious scones to cupcakes. There is something for everyone. Add in the fact this is a local women-owned business and somehow it gets even better. Love this place, visit often.

Great little coffee shop off of I-80. I was pleasantly surprised with the vegetarian options. I opted for a veggie sandwich to go. On the sandwich was veggie cream cheese, avocado, greek yogurt spread, havarti cheese, spinach, bell pepper, and carrots. Very good. Also have sugar free opitions for syrups for your coffee drinks. I got a sugar free carmel latte with oat milk.

Amazing fresh baked scones every day! Lots of vegan and vegetarian options! The customer service is incredible and the food is to die for! Getting the fresh scones every morning is the highlight of my day. Definitely accessible, and the staff are so friendly and helpful. The owner Kelly offered to carry out my bag for me to my car because of my cane. An excellent place to enjoy in Iowa city!

We were so happy to find this hidden gem right off the highway! It has such a cute interior and feels so cozy. Their fresh baked scones were still warm and so good (we had the strawberry chocolate and apple pecan scones)! I also tried their house made lavender mix in my iced latte which added just the right amount of flavor. Will absolutely be back to try more treats.

I have to give this space 2 starts because of the customer service, but first the positives. Beautifully decorated interior, great play space for kids, delicious breakfast burrito, and solid matcha latte.
Our group of 6 came in right after two others with no one behind us. The lady taking orders and making some of the drinks seemed extremely stressed and skittish though, to her credit, she was absolutely pleasant the whole time. I made a mistake when ordering and forgot to make a milk substitution. From what I could tell, I caught her before she had pulled the espresso shots into the milk and asked if I could change it. I was told it was not possible to change my order at that time so I offered to pay the difference between the normal cortado and the one with substituted milk. She began to panic when I suggested this so I offered to wait until the next 4 guests that had come in after our group had gone through the line and sort it out then. When I went up to pay they first tried to charge me for a full drink saying that it was important to make any substitutions when I ordered otherwise they would make the drink without any changes. Then when I apologized they discounted the drink by 50%.
The coffee cake was bland, the cinnamon roll tasted strange, and they forgot one of our group's burritos.
We will not be back.

Love this place! It’s our go-to coffee stop when we’re heading west on I-80. Over lattes are always very good. Recently tried their breakfast burritos which weren’t too shabby. Adorable atmosphere with a kids play corner. Drive thru is a big perk!

pretty good coffee shop option that isn't downtown. I like the atmosphere and plants they have. the coffee is good and there are various food options. Always can find seating. only issue I have are all the flies that are buzzing around. I've noticed them on at least 3 visits...obviously they slip in between the foot traffic from outside and the gas station next door but it's still annoying at times..will continue visiting when I don't feel like going downtown.

They have a limited selection of Molly's Cupcakes. And if you know that you are going ahead of time, you can order Molly's for pickup there.
