Bruegger's Bagels

This is by far my favorite Brueggers out of the 3 in Iowa City. For me, it's all about the little things. I like getting a lot of spread on my bagel. At the other 2 locations, they say they have to measure by scoop (the "scoop" is the smallest one I've ever seen) and charge 50¢ extra for additional scoops, usually resulting in me paying a dollar more than I should have to. Here, they put on as much as you want, no questions asked, and no additional charges. Add to that a super friendly staff and you've got a great bagel shop! Definitely the best location by far!

The bagels and coffee were delicious. I love that they make breakfast sandwiches with freshly cooked eggs. Also the line was really long but they kept it moving really fast.

Actual real bagels, not the big circles of bread at most places. Really chewy and satisfying. Lots of good choices of sandwiches and stuff, but trust me, get at least one bagel on it's own, you'll be craving that chew later.

Great service (thanks, Gabriel!) and value. Pre-ordered a dozen bagels and clerk recommended special; baker's dozen plus two tubs of cream cheese for $13.99.

I absolutely love the 1st Ave Brueggers. They have the best bagels, GREAT service, and a very clean restaurant. Whether using them personally or professionally for catering orders, they come through each & every time. Special shoutout to Gaber, who goes above and beyond order after order. He is a treat to work with!

Really good food but they don't let you eat inside as of 1/19/22. Hopefully they will soon.

Awesome. Fresh, crisp veggies, warm oven-fresh soft bagel and iced pumpkin spice coffee, friendly staff - how can you go wrong? Minor bum-out: they were out of pumpkin spice cream cheese. This is one of the best Brueggers out there.

The bagels are awesome and they make a good sandwich. The coffee is alright. If your going for breakfast to go, plan for at least five minutes to get back out the door.

Came in here for the first time today. I had no idea what to get, I explained it was my first time, and the staff didn't care to explain how things work, so I was cut off in line by someone who got their eggs before me. When I got to the cash register, I asked if I could get an iced coffee, I wanted one that wasn't iced too, but she immediately turns around and makes the iced coffee, I didn't want to be that guy that yells to the worker. So I waited until she came back, when I asked her again, she turned and rolled her eyes. I wanted to complain and tell her how crappy this experience was, and how bad their customer service was, and how I was the ONLY one to tip from all the people who cut in front of me. Just because food service sucks, doesn't mean your attitude should too.

First time customer, but consumer FYI. I ordered a chai tea, but received a chai tea latte. It was very good, but not what i ordered. So just be aware! Great service and breakfast sandwich.
