small little cafe style building. very busy place. we went around 10 am. price seems high but wait till you get your food. pancakes as big as your plate, sausage as big as a 1/4 hamburger. you won't leave hungry.

Stopped for breakfast at 9:50. Ordered French Toast and they said they didn't have any available. While eating they turned away 3 new customers and closed at 10 am. No lunch menu available and charge 1.00 to use a debit or credit card. Service has gone down hill.

Food is decent, service was super slow, and the interior is in desperate need of a face lift.

We used to go to the KK quite a bit when I was young. You can definitely tell the ownership change.
After we got a cup of Coffee at Starbucks in Hy Vee, we went for a drive, and decided to grab breakfast at the KK.
We waited 15 minutes for a table, which is to be expected on a weekend.
Once we sat down, we ordered. The food took over 45 minutes, and about 30 minutes in our server came up to us and said 'he just learned that next time we better not bring in outside drinks', and he was supposed to let us know.
I felt bad for the kid, and wish whomever told him to say that had the guts to come say it themselves.
The food was not what it used to be, and the place is filthy. Skip this place unless you are not in a hurry, and don't mind smelling like a griddle when you leave.
One thing I would imagine business owners at the lakes would know and embrace, is that you shouldn't disrupt over lapping business/customers. There are a lot of choices in Okoboji. Take what you can get, because there are a ton of people fighting for the same dollar all summer long.
This place likely won't get another one of mine.

Sat down, ordered breakfast and a cinnamon roll for the kids to share. Food came an hour later, and they'd manage to sell out of the rolls by then (there were at least two dozen in the cabinet when we sat down). The kids were crushed, not to mention starving. Food was stone cold when it was dropped off. Cheap though, so there's that.

Always a popular place to eat. Go early, they ran out of their famous rolls.

Koffee Kup was once the star of the Lakes Area breakfast Cafes. While the food is still pretty good, the quality isn't what it used to be and it is overpriced compared to other local cafes; one egg with hashbrowns is around $6 about +$3 over the price of one egg, egg omelets run about $10 . Drinks are extra.
Handy location makes for waits during peak summer months. Overall the Koffe Kup is a fading old star with average service. It would be great to see it return to it's former star status.

Short of help, but staff worked hard to keep up. Food was great, especially the marble rye toast and sausage patties.

My family and I have been going to Okoboji every summer for vacation for almost 20 years. Out of the 5 days we are here we go to the Koffee Kup every morning and will continue to do so for another 20 plus years. We love the amazingly delicious food, variety, and service! Thank you!

Food was good only complaint is make sure you bring cash as they don't except checks and charge you $1.00 to use your debit or credit card. There is a small sign noting this but would be nice if it were in a more noticeable location (instead of on the register as you leave to pay)
