I love this coffeehouse! Excellent coffee, food (including mini donuts!) and service! And the perfect atmosphere for any get-together or to have some alone time!

I've been to Porch Light a few times. The Pistachio Latte is my favorite, iced or hot. Today was enjoyable, as always, but a little extra special because my friend/business partner and I spoke with the owner and he gave us some great advice on building our 501c3.

Great place to go to for a morning drink. Staff were helpful and answered all questions. There were a lot of games to pick from, I even learned how to play chess. They had tick tac toe, scrabble, shut the box, sorry, ect. The environment was welcoming and comfy.

What a cozy and fun place to enjoy a cup of delicious hot coco with friends!

This place is a great Midwest coffee shop! They have an awesome atmosphere and a wide variety of drinks and food. I’ve come from The PNW area with a background as a barista. Up there people drink a lot more cappuccino, latte, and traditional macchiatos. The top priority is the quality of the espresso shot, and the quality and style of the steamed milk. Porch Light has great flavored drinks which is a lot more popular here, I am rating them on the quality of espresso and steam milk drinks without the flavor which is lacking. Conclusion: if you like white mochas, Carmel lattes, etc. you will enjoy Porch Light. If you like straight espresso, cappuccinos, lattes, you may be disappointed.

Why is no one wearing a mask?
I asked my brother to get me a coffee and no one was wearing a mask. We are in a global pandemic, there are many elderly patreons. I didn't think I would be endangering my family and community by supporting a local business.
Be better, at least require masks for staff and ask patreons to wear masks when not drinking their coffee.

Hands down the best espresso in Ankeny. The environment is quiet and inviting allowing for great conversation. There's a modest sized library of board games to pass the time with friends and family. The food menu is limited.

Highly recommended. Sometimes the staff is rude, but the coffee is so good I drive all the way from Southside Des Moines to get it, almost a half hour drive.

Was a bit confusing walking in at first, but we found our way pretty quickly. Pretty decently sized menu, and done by hand and they take their time on it and don't rush it like starbucks, also great tasting coffee.
