I really wanted to like this place. We need more local coffee shops and less corporate monopolies.

The coffee:
Ordered the pumpkin cold brew and the pumpkin cheesecake latte. The cold brew tasted like black iced coffee with sweet whipped topping it wasn’t great. The pumpkin cheesecake was really good though, lots of flavors.

The service:
I think the big issue is customer service. The cashier never greeted me or said anything until I asked for my order. Two different people brought the drinks. With the first one I said thanks!!! They shrugged and walked away. The second one I said have a nice day! She walked away and looked annoyed. I didn’t feel welcome at this place at all. If I felt like my business was wanted and I was welcomed I would gladly come back even if the coffee isn’t my favorite but that’s not the case here.

With so much competition small coffee shops need to find ways to stand out amongst the rest. Customer service is critical to develop promoters.

I love coming to Founders Grounds! My favorite Friday afternoon tradition, they never disappoint!! I always recommend Founders to friends who ask for a good coffee shop!

Ordered a sandwich and latte online. It was ready when I arrived and both were delicious and everyone was super-friendly. Nice cozy atmosphere.

Can't say enough about this Speedway establishment. Excellent coffee, service, atmosphere and food. Great place to get some unique gifts too.

Came into town for an event at the Motor Speedway, and needed a breakfast spot to feed our crew. Called in a day early an hour or two before the store closed, and the owners were happy to help us out and supplied us with enough food and coffee to feed around 25 hungry people for the next day! The staff here definitely go above and beyond to help you out if you communicate your needs clearly and I can't recommend them enough. Will definitely be visiting them again the next time our crew is back in town.

Also! Like other reviewers have said, their panini's are fantastic! They were by far the most popular item among our crew and were cleaned out within an hour. The bread they are made with is hearty and has a rustic feel to them. They are brushed with this peppery spice mixture on the outside that really make them pop with flavor.

Amazing. I was at the shop almost 3 hours on a work call, ordered breakfast and lunch here! Great local spot with fresh roast and really good food.

Great atmosphere here! Really loved the blueberry muffins and the cafe mocha as well. Fast service for how crowded it was!

Great atmosphere. Great staff. The coffee is one of my favorite’s. Consistently smooth and correctly prepared. Try a panini you won’t regret it.

Great new spot in Speedway. It’s above BBQ and Bourbon. Had a nice iced peach tea 🫖
