The Local Grind

Our first experience, we waited 45 min for breakfast. They let us sit there for 35 min before realizing they had not started making it. After we asked twice about the wait time. We were the only ones in there.. Very disappointed. The coffee is great though. Customer service is LACKING at this coffee shop, however. They do have a trainee and the other employee refuses to help her. We have gone in there twice and heard the employee training say “we aren’t allowed to help you” when the trainee would ask for help. Take care of your customers! I felt horrible for her as she had to make 6 different drinks (we ordered 1) on her own while her trainer sat on her phone “not allowed to help.” There was a long line this time and she looked miserable trying to get drinks made. I cannot support a business like that.

My new favorite place in Franklin! Sooooo delicious! I want try more. This is a sugar free vanilla chai frap. They have great hours and loads of flavors!

I stopped by for a cup of black coffee around 2:30 today. I was told they don’t have coffee in the afternoon. A coffee shop that doesn’t sell black coffee 🤯 they said they could only offer an Americano. I made the mistake of saying yes. What I received was a luke warm flavorless cup of brown water. The search for a good cup of coffee in this town continues.

Waited 30 minutes to get 2 breakfast wraps... we were the only ones in the building the entire time we were there. This was our first time. Not a good first impression.... probably won't come back unfortunately.

Good coffee, I had a cup of the Ethiopian blend black. Enjoyed it thoroughly. Looking forward to trying more of the menu next chance I get. Also noteworthy… it’s located in a really cool area of downtown. Check out the Bottleworks hotel if you have time and the Garage across the street is a great place for lunch.

Flavors didn’t really didn’t come through in the drinks. Coffee also didn’t seem to be very high quality, a little bit watery. We were expecting very different results and didn’t finish our drinks.

My friend's and I stopped in today to give this place a try. I was so impressed with the drink menu! All three of us enjoyed every sip of our drinks. We chatted with the owner for awhile who was very friendly and didn’t mind our company. This just may be my new favorite coffee shop in Franklin. If you are downtown, I highly recommend giving The Local grind a try!
