Kanela Blended Drinks Coffee and Bites

I believe I have found the best coffee shop in Fort Wayne. I ordered a mocha with pumpkin spice and my girlfriend ordered a snickerdoodle latte. Both were perfectly made. Not to sweet. Not too strong. The milk was steamed well and had the perfect amount of froth.

As for breakfast they have a good selection here as well. I got the expertly made bacon egg and cheese Croissant. The croissant was light and flake and tasted amazing. My girlfriend ordered guacamole toast and told me it was the best toast she ever had. FWI they do have gluten free options for the toast.

The cherry on top was the staff was very kind and helpful while we ordered. I will be coming here more regularly for sure!

They did a great job with our drinks and very very fast. FYI- parking is likely going to be around the corner. It's an adorable shop inside with comfy seating. Worth checking out, especially because they close at 6, whereas Utopian closes at 4.

This place is my family’s new favorite coffee shop! We live in New Haven and noticed that it had opened up, but we wouldn’t ever be able to make it to it before it closed. Then I realized there is one downtown near my kids school, so we started going right after they got out of school and love it! Very nice staff answered all our questions about the menu, the drinks were customizable, and it’s very kid friendly. My youngest daughter is the one that pointed this place out and she loves the different smoothie choices they have for kids, she got a strawberry shortcake smoothie. My son got a hot cocoa, my oldest daughter got a caramel frappe, and I got an iced caramel macchiato. Everyone was definitely satisfied!

This place is awesome! The drinks are great and the staff is always friendly! You should really try the Snicker Doodle Iced Coffee with whole milk!

Great place! The atmosphere is perfect for a meet up with friends. It felt quiet, like you can really talk and hear each other, and yet spacious. And the view out the big storefront windows is fabulous! The food was good. I had a bagel with cream cheese and it was soft and warm and perfect. Just a great place to go and relax!

As always the staff is super helpful! Cute inside, downtown location. I’ve LOVED everything I have ordered from here. Especially love their Acai bowls 🤤 So glqd to contribute to a small, LOCAL business!!

Smoothie I ordered was okay - a little runny, but tasted okay. However, the hummus wrap I ordered that was delivered to me had a preparation date of 7 days prior to when I received the wrap. The avocado in it was brown. The whole wrap was soggy and mushy. It smelled off. I was incredibly disappointed that someone found it acceptable to serve a perishable food item made 7 days ago to a customer. It makes me question the freshness and quality of food they sell as a whole. Regardless of the price, which is quite high in my opinion, food should always be made and sold fresh, or at least preserved well enough for a customer to consume without fear of getting sick. I will most likely not purchase anything from Kanela again. What a shame.

Out doing the Savor Fort Wayne 2021 tour today downtown at Kanela.
They have many options on their savor menu. For $12.25 we got a smoothie, one mango one berry, chicken and waffles with a side of honey, and either a mini cheesecake or donut.

The smoothie had a very good flavor and paired well with the rest. The chicken and waffle is served in a cardboard cup. It had quite a bit of chicken and even more waffle. The honey was very thick and coated everything nicely.
My cheesecake crumbled when I touched it with a fork, due to the graham cracker crust on bottom. It was very sweet so the size of it came out just right.
The glazed cinnamon roll donut came out hot and mom really enjoyed it.
They are open pretty much all day Monday through Saturday after 7:00 a.m. through the week and 8:00 a.m. on the weekends.

The building has a cool mix of classic old architecture with some modern decorations and a great view of the downtown skyline.

Every time I come here the service and products are great! I love their carrot muffins. You'll spend more but you will be satisfied. The only thing I would change is not to use half n half and prices down a little.
