Hempton Roast Coffee

After traveling the world and trying coffee every step of the way, this was hands down the most unique and delicious spot yet!!! Jeff was incredibly hospitable and appeared to have doctorate level knowledge of coffee. Great all around experience and phenomenal coffee of all different roasts. Highly recommend to anyone whether they are coffee drinkers or not. Its definitely worth the drive.

My new favorite coffee roaster 😃. He specializes in Kenyan beans, imported directly to Fort Wayne by sons of the family that owns the coffee farm outside of Nairobi. The Black and Tan is my new favorite coffee.

I look forward to coming back and learning more about how coffee is roasted. He has a very large roasting machine, very impressive. He had 3 of his roasts brewed today that I got to sample. Coffee is $1 a cup. This is the place you go to to talk shop about coffee and enjoy sampling as well. Open most Saturday mornings. **Not a coffeehouse**

Jeff knows his coffee. He has stories behind every origin of all his beans. His shop is like walking into a home. Very clean with all the fresh coffee you can drink. I walked out with 4 pounds of whole beans and a neat story about each of them. I will be back when I need a refill!

Jeff always greets his customers with a smile and and a hot cup of coffee. His dark roasts are flavorful with low acidity yet still a hint of edge that brings out the natural flavors.
