One of my favorite cafes to eat at in downtown CP. The staff is always friendly and I am 100% addicted to their Cherry tea (hot and iced). It is AMAZING!!!!
My favorite items are The Scrambler (on Rustic bread, instead of the sub bread) and the Classic Bagel.
I also LOVE the French Onion Soup, deelish!

Sip is a cute, cozy coffee shop and a great place to catch up with friends. Their lattes are always delicious, and the workers are kind. If it were not out of the way of home, I would go all the time.

I've been about three times and the coffee was great. I am new to the area and was very excited to see a place that displays and sells local art.
While I was in there I asked about how one may go about getting their art displayed and they took my number and said the owner would call but I haven't heard back. It was the second time I inquired about displaying my art. It's not like they saw my art and wasn't interested...I never got a chance to show them any of it.
Also, the last time I went in there the girl behind the counter didn't say a word as I stood at the register... Didn't say, "Can I help you" or what'll you have." She just looked at me. I guess that means for me to order but it sure would have been nice to be greeted with words.
I may try again cause it could be that they lost my number or aren't taking any new art but management should call and say that. Also the girl at the counter may have just had a bad day.
I hope it WAS a fluke cause the coffee sure was good.

Quaint coffee shop with Bohemian vibe. They do a good job with food selection coffee is terrific. The setting is very cool on the Crown Point square.

"The Sip" is a delightful, bustling, small "Artisan Café" located at 11 North Ct. St. in Crown Point, IN. 46307. Very courteous, knowledgeable, friendly, welcoming, and accommodating staff, delicious coffee, painting's for sale, open mic nights on Saturday! Definitely worth checking out! My family is beyond grateful!

I'm sure the coffee is great but we never made it inside. Even though there was an ample 35 min before closing to get us the drinks we desired, the girl outside stacking chairs told us that they "didn't having anything to offer us" and "low key, not to go inside"...very rudely, I might add. There were plenty of people inside still. Just pure laziness. It's no wonder Starbucks put places like this out of business.

This was my 3rd time visiting. Those visits only consisted of ordering coffee. This was my first time dining in. We were asked to have a seat and someone would come to take our order. We sat down, and a waitress came shortly after to take our order. We asked for a little bit more time to decide. The waitress never came back. She kept walking passed us attending to other guests, but did not look our way. Finally, I called to her twice, second time being a bit louder so she can hear, but she ignored me. At that point, my husband decided to just go up to the register and place our order. It took almost half an hour to receive our food. We finally received our food after having to ask the waitress how much longer it would be. The entire time we sat there no one came to wait on us. Waitress kept passing by to attend other guests but we were clearly being ignored. My husband once again, had to go up to the register to order a muffin and pay the bill. I will mention that when I asked if they could lower the air cuz it was literally hitting us, she did take the time to lower it. This is why I gave 2 starts instead of 1. Although the place looked very warm, and inviting, I felt very uncomfortable. I'm pretty sure I won't be back again.
