Espresso Royale Grainger Engineering Library

The staff was friendly and it was very clean, but... If you get Matcha Latte's this is definitely not your place. Sweetened or unsweetened, hot or cold... it was just bad and expensive! $20 for two drinks! and bad drinks at that!

The worst Espresso Royale. Overpriced, dirty, and nasty drinks. The last mocha I got has WAY too many coffee grounds and tastes like it; I cannot taste any chocolate. I’ve tried multiple iced mochas, other flavored lattes, Italian soda, etc. Just don’t waste your money here.

Traveling through town decided to support a local shop.
I ordered an americano and mocha. Cups were served half full, and the coffee was not good. We also ordered a muffin and lemon poppyseed bread. Both were days (4-5) old, I’m not picky but these were both really old, stale and dry. I spent $20 and the entire experience was bad.
People wonder why Starbucks or Caribou are crowded……..

Today (Mar 2), I visited your coffee shop in Grainger. I ordered a large latte first, and later, I asked a girl working there if I could have a cup. The girl gave me a small cup, and I wondered if I could have the large one. The girl said no, and they needed to charge me for the larger cup. I said yes and asked how much; when I was about to pay for the large cup while I was putting the small cup back on top of the coffee machine, a guy suddenly came to me and said:
In the future, do not touch this area (the cups' area)

I just wanted to put the small cup your other staff (a girl) gave me back. I explained to him so. However, he responded loudly and harshly, "No argument; there is no argument." I found this to be very unprofessional and it upset me very much. It was unnecessary. Individuals working in customer service should not yell at their customers or say something as curt as "no argument" when the customer is calmly speaking with them.

I shall not return to this location and will be posting a review. This is simply unacceptable behavior from a member of your team and it frankly ruined my afternoon.

They auto add the tip onto your total, and quickly try to get the transaction through. Beware. I had a hair in my last coffee, and a piece of dirt ended up in a lemonade I ordered. Manager is rude and unprofessional towards international students and I have witnessed this on multiple occasions. Overpriced and gouging students stuck at the library.

They gave me half of my medium drink that was too hot to drink, it burned my tongue. When asked for a cup of ice, they said I would have to pay for it. Horrible service

I just go there cause it's inside of the library. The taste of hot chocolate varies ALOT. I mostly get hot chocolate just taste like warm milk and sometimes I get one that would immediately give me diabetes.... Need quality control

One of the nearest places to get coffee from the engineering building from the north of campus. This coffee is on the first floor of Grainger Engineering Library. Therefore, if the Library is closed, the coffee shop is not open either. There is an eating and drinking area next to the espresso royale. The avacado toast is also good but it may take longer for the staff to prepare this item. I usually order an mid or large ice latte here.

The only good thing is the coffee and how fast they make it. The scone I had was very flavorless, I couldn't taste the blueberries or anything, just tasted like a slice of plain bread. The employee helping me made me feel poor and like I couldn't afford it, she kept looking af my card and gave a strange look like how can I afford this. I'll go to a different store for their coffee next time just nto this one.

Barista was super rude to me and my friend today and my coffee tasted horrible. He literally signed heavy at both of our orders in a serious manner. Disappointing.
