Original Pancake House

Met a friend for breakfast, fairly early. They were already getting busy. The food was good, but was shocked at how high the prices were, which I'm sure is everywhere. The service was so so. There were long stretches between a stop by our server. I kept running out of coffee and water. And, I'm sure he was busy, but he had another booth right by ours at which he regularly stopped. I tried to wave him down a few times and he just walked on past. I had my back to the front, so I did not see the people waiting, and they asked us to leave. At least they did it nicely. We should have gotten the hint when they totally stopped coming to see if we needed anything else. As we were walking out, they did open a.large area that had been closed. Maybe they got someone extra to come in to work that area. Anyway, the food was ok, on the cool side when it arrived, but tasty. The last time I was there the server gave me my coffee for free since I am a senior. This guy charged me, and, it's not cheap there for a couple small small cups that don't get refilled. If I go back, I'll not get coffee, ask for a pitcher of water, and time it differently.

Cozy atmosphere, fresh corned beef hash, and lovely staff - the perfect recipe for a great breakfast joint. Amanda was an excellent waitress, everything came out fast and tasted so good :)

Not giving 5 stars due to the issues we experienced with the wait-list. They offer an app that is supposed to put you on a wait-list which gives you a time when they expect your table to be available. I used the app and was given a time. In the confirmation text, it says you will receive a text when your table is ready. We arrived 20 minutes prior to this time. We had to wait an additional 40 minutes past the time that was in the confirmation text message . The app and text, mention nothing about having to check-in on arrival. When our time came and went, I checked with the hostess and was informed that I should have checked in on arrival. Basically the wait-list iapp does nothing. They put you in the queue when you check-in with the hostess.

Good food and atmosphere. Even though it is a tad on the expensive side, I feel you get big enough portions to make it worth it. Wait staff were very nice and accommodating. Will come again!

Busy Saturday morning, wait staff did a great job keeping drinks filled and tables bussed. Very efficient operation! Food was excellent!

Worst restaurant when picking a food if ur a delivery driver. You need to bring always ur hot bag to get the food. Whats the point of it if the food is sitting their is for long time and nobody picking it up.

Great food...great service...big portions..manager stopped by to ask how things were...kinda nice. Parking fills up during busy times but 50 ft away another parking lot with plenty of free parking. Small wait but well worth it. Omelette's are huge so be hungry if ya order that. Will go back when in town. 5 star for sure !

Great breakfast, with a very nice, wide selection of tasty, warm and large portions from a great breakfast menu. From omelets, to many versions of pancakes, french toast, biscuits and gravy and much more. Conveniently located just off War Memorial Drive at Grand Prairie.

Had pancakes and ham that was really good quick service friendly service price was a little high for pancakes I thought that's just my opinion but I would go back it's definitely worth the trip

First visit and will NOT be our last. Ordered the senior ham & cheese omelette, wheat toast and coffee.
My husband ordered the Western omelette, hash browns and coffee. Both omelettes we're huge and delicious, my said the hash browns were the best he has had in a long time.
The waffles looked amazing, I will try one on our next visit.
Special note our server Ashley C., did an outstanding job. They were very busy and we never had to wait for anything.
