The Vault Cafe on the Square

An amazing venue with a very unique aesthetic. The food was excellent and the service was very very good! We will definitely be back.

The Vault Cafe on the square is definitely a Southern hot spot!! Amazing breakfast or lunch specials!! I got the French dip with the coleslaw. The coleslaw is house made and even my 8 year child loved it!! My love got the good as gold. A French toast with ham, bacon, egg, and cheese. Served on Hawaiian bread French toast. We dipped it in syrup and felt straight ecstasy with our taste buds. Friendly staff and very attentive servers! I definitely recommend this place. 5 stars all day!! 🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠

My wife Kerri and I stopped in The Vault Cafe on the Square Saturday for brunch. What can I say about this fabulous establishment that has probably not already been said. In my opinion, it is one of the best Brunch Restaurants in all of Southern Illinois. The food is of great quality, and the wait staff is exceptional, they know the menu inside and out and can answer any question about any dish on the menu. Rob is a fine human being, so friendly, genuine, and inviting and it is not a show, you can really tell that he is passionate about his baby and he never meets a stranger. Everyone who pays patronage to The Vault Cafe on the Square is a friend to Rob. Their kitchen staff is well accomplished and knows exactly what they are doing their experience and passion for food show in the quality of the finished product, down to the plating of the food. It is not just thrown on a plate, it comes out looking appetizing. The food is always cooked to perfection nor anything less than excellent service. If there is anyone out there who has not tried The Vault Cafe on the Square, you are truly missing out on a Southern Illinois Gem. I will gladly give this wonderful establishment ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ out of 5. On a closing note, look at the picture I attached of their last five health inspections 100% for all 5. I would eat off that floor. I had The Club Sandwich with a Side Salad and Raspberry Vinaigrette dressing and what else is there to say that I have not already said, perfection.

This was our first trip here as we were from out of town. This place was hands down THE BEST place I've probably ever eaten at! All the way from the beginning! The door greeters were awesome and very friendly. We had a really short wait even though they said there were 4 groups ahead of us. Our waitress was friendly and very good at her job! Always came back to check on us and refilled our drinks promptly. And the food... good lord the food was just THE GREATEST! Seasoned perfect and not over cooked. We were a group of 4 and each one of us had amazing food! I do have to say that I'm leary of trying biscuits and gravy when going out to eat but I'm so glad I did! The biscuits were not dry and flaky like most places. And the gravy was perfect! Mighty tasty! We will definitely be back and will be bringing and telling others about how good this place was for our Sunday breakfast!! Thank you all for your amazing service and food!!

Took our 4 generation family out for breakfast. Great food, wonderfully warm and accommodating service and the food was great.

Fantastic value. Half the price of cracker barrel, double the quality of food of cracker barrel and the staff at the vault were so friendly, nice, and genuine we will be back.

Decided to stop in for breakfast and was INCREDIBLY pleased!! The staff is very friendly. Their strawberry stuffed french toast is worth stopping for, and I highly recommend a side of bacon. Treat yourself! You won't be sorry.

We were traveling through and got a flat tire. Found a tire shop that recommended The Vault for breakfast while we waited. We headed over and had a delicious meal and our server was delightful. The building was beautiful too. A very nice way to endure what could have been a frustrating time. We'll done!!!!

If you like biscuits and gravy, then you have to get The Money! The best scrambled eggs I have ever had. Food was hot, service was great, with a lovely atmosphere.
