I would suggest more community outreach and invites to increase business. It would be nice to see more people taking advantage of their part in preserving local history.

Lock 16 has been my favorite place to eat in Lasalle for the last few years they had the best black bean burger and yam fries until today! The burger was over done and the fries were soggy and the service was very poor. Very disappointed 😞

The awesome food and excellent service earns this place 5 stars. If you’re in the Illinois valley, definitely try this place out. You won’t be disappointed.

Lunch corned beef was very good. Service was a little slow and only one other table was in use. Cute shop worth the stop.

The pumpkin coffee was extremely good the staff were very friendly. I would highly recommend.

One of my favorite cafes and gift shops in downtown Lasalle. Housed in restored commercial building on corner of Joliet and 1st Street, it is the home of the historic IM Canal packet boat pulled by mules.

Quiet quaint with great ambiance. Menu caters to the sasuage meat eater and the veggie heads! Do try it, you'll want to go back

I always love the coffee here and the customer service is excellent. The last time i ordered food though it was over cooked and portion sizing has gotton smaller.

Don't bother. Shame too....used to be lovely. Everytime I've gone in lately, they are out of FOOD.Thought this was a restaurant? Always seem
anxious to close....Disappointing.

My wife Nancy and I have visited the Lock 16 Café in Lasalle, Illinois several times. This is an example of little person makes good. A local woman wanted to rebuild the Illinois canal and thru hard work was able to have a canal boat built (pulled by mules) and a first rate tourist attraction erected. Now school busses pull up to the restaurant and canal to eat and learn about early commerce. This canal connected the great lakes with the Mississippi river at one time. It has revitalized downtown with shops opening all around the Lock 16 Café. Plus the soup and sandwiches are great.
