Absolutely amazing coffee and super friendly staff. I got an iced Americano with a splash of almond milk. It was bold, rich, and refreshing in the summer heat. My fiance got an iced latte with English toffee that was the perfect level of sweetness. I also found one of the best donuts I've ever had there. We're in Galena for one more day and we know exactly where we're going in the morning for coffee. Couldn't recommend them enough!

We were strolling through downtown Galena the day after the Field of Dreams game, and happened upon this gem! The owner was sure to welcome us and gave us several samples of their non-coffee drinks. In addition to the yummy juice drinks, we also purchased a delicious cranberry scone, and a sandwich for our drive back to Geneva, IL. The coffee was very good. The experience is one not to be missed if you’re in the vicinity. We highly recommend your stopping in when visiting Galena.

The favorite place in Galena for my wife and I. We visited multiple times during our vacation and every drink we tried was excellent - especially the Christmas in July. The best coffee shop in Galena, hands down.

My husband and I stopped in this afternoon for a pick me up. I got a peppermint mocha which was amazing! Probably the best coffee I've had in a long time. We'll be sure to stop by again whenever we visit galena!

Friendly folks behind the counter, and their chai tea latte is more subtle than some of the chains' drinks. We picked up a few bags of beans that we've been enjoying as well. Note there are no seats inside, just a pair of small, circular tables for standing at, so it's more of a grab-and-go kind of place.

I’m not normally one to write reviews, but the coffee cupping experience was absolutely worth a review! We booked a private coffee cupping experience, and couldn’t have been happier with how it went! Earl, our tour guide, completely customized our experience to our group’s experience level with coffee. He was incredibly knowledgeable and so patient with all of our questions. It’s clear that he strives for excellence with his coffee roasting process - we’re obsessed with the Abyssinia (Sumatra). It was a wonderful way to spend an afternoon and I now know so much more about the coffee industry and feel more well-informed for buying coffee in the future! If you’re on the fence about doing the cupping experience, go for it - you’ll be so glad you did!

Support local small businesses here! Great coffee options, great snack options, awesome vibe! 😎

Coffee is average, service is poor. There is much better in town.

Where to start... I have been coming up to galena, yearly since 2005... seasonally for the past 10 years and as of 2021; every weekend ! As new as this place is, all the locals and regulars and employees, I know, seem to also love this place and recommend it!!
I have seen Galenas down town coffee bean scene grow, from breakfast places, to traditional coffee shops and even the cute, Elle and Beck’s.
As Galena Roasters, is the newest coffee shop I HAVE TO SHARE with you (from a suburban-yet-chicago-is-my-backyard coffee lover) THIS is the place for all coffee lovers alike. HOT or iced, creamed or black, sweet or boldly naturally flavored... this coffee will have you dripping on your own!
The staff is just the start. Faith, Katie, and Patty/Patti are a sweet bunch. On my first stop in, Earl (the roaster on the mug & coaster ;)?) made my special request Lavendar and Vanilla Oat Milk latte, that Paul rang during this initial trip.
The hot latte was absolutely delicious!!! I have had good lattes from Trolley & Elle and Beck’s...but no place in town makes it like Galena Roasters. (Hence going 2 days in a row)
Also. I surprised my mom at work with one of their yogurt parfaits. Later that day she told me she raved to my dad about how delicious it was, so I surprised her with another the following day.
Oliver, our family pup was also welcomed on both visits and sweet Katie offered a puppacino, to which Oliver devoured !!! Thank you Katie.
From the wait, the staff, coffee quality, knowledge, price, snacks and food, also dairy alternatives, you can’t go wrong unless you go somewhere else :D
This is just from my first and second visit. I know I am missing some things like; food offered besides the yogurt parfait.
Also thank you for Paul’s patience with my initial order. He was a delight throughout my first experience. I am looking forward to my third visit tomorrow !

Coffee may be good but you actually have to be served... Walked in and there were 2 women behind the counter. They were more interested in talking to their friends than taking orders. Stood there long enough and finally walked out. Never even said anything to us. Went to Mean Bean down the road. Much better experience!!
