Java Café

This place is a local gem! They serve wonderful pastries and coffee and cookies and smoothies. Breakfast and dining service end at 11am but lots of goodies are on sale later on...like pastries cookies, coffee, smoothies protein balls. We missed breakfast but we super happy with the other items, and the breakfast menu looked great. I managed a breakfast muffin because there was one left and it was really good. The atmosphere is cozy and clean, check the pics. The bathroom was the cleanest I have seen. The counter person was friendly and helpful. If you are nearby stop in!

Firstly, I love the kids space (play area with toys and magnetic board). You don't see that many coffee shops with that. Secondly, I love the atmospheric vibe. Ita decoration gives a certain vibe that we are attracting to. You can see pictures. The reason for two stars. Ultimately, it comes to the coffee itself. We ordered small dark roast house coffee and large light roast house coffee. The taste of coffee is quite disappointed. It does not taste a nice, smooth, roast coffee as it supposed to be. I suspect the drip coffee has more water than coffee. Or... or... this may be the overreaching conclusion that they are using cheap or knock off coffee beans. Call ourselves the avid coffee adventurers (drinkers) and this place sorely failed. We are travelers so it won't be starred on our Google map for the future reference.

Cozy and relaxing cafe, a welcoming environment with tasty coffee and pastries. Full breakfast menu in the morning. Lots of plants and eclectic artwork on the walls, cute patio with a plant themed mural outside. A nice hidden gem worth a detour off I-55.

This was an excellent surprise. What a gorgeous, friendly place to stop. Reasonable prices, my medium latte with flavor was $5 with tip. Baristas made an excellent latte, very smooth espresso, and just hot enough not to be scalding. I would drive to this down just to spend a morning at a table with my laptop working from such a great environment. This location has tons of seating, good food selection and an area for kids to play!

This is my local obsession! Java has become a staple place for my little family to enjoy. The coffee menu is diverse, as well as, non-coffee options for tea or smoothie lovers! The staff are always sweet and interested in making your experience the best it can be. The scones are to die for!

Got a frappe. It was sickening sweet and you couldn't taste the coffee at all because of it. And I asked for a stronger, less sweet version. Worst of all was that it wasn't slushy. There were no remnants of ice at all actually. Pretty disappointing. Had to go home and fix it myself because the girl working was so unfriendly/short, I didn't want to ask her to fix it. I gave 3 stars only because the other drink we got, the cold brew, was good.

Jessica was fantastic treated us like she had known us all of her life! Even when we didn't have cash to buy some little souvenirs, she worked it out so we could buy them! We both loved the coffee and muffins and everything about that little coffee shop! We both encourage people to come to El Paso, Illinois, and come to the Java Cafe!

This coffee shop is a gem of El Paso. The staff are super friendly and inviting. The whole atmosphere inside and outside of the shop is charming. I'll definitely come back here again!

Really nice place with the Best coffee! Staff was fantastic. They have a sign on the highway or we never would have stopped in the tiny town; it was really worth the detour!
