Cool little place! Everyone working here has always been really nice, never feels judgey or snooty. And the drinks are awesome, not super sweet, real vanilla (their vanilla bean latte is super good! My favorite out of any coffee place around here) and real chocolate, not store bought syrups. Definitely recommend it!

My favorite of all the dark matter locations for the ambiance alone. I love the art and the feel of a small Mexican coffee shop vibe in a big Chicago town as you look out the window. Coffee was delicious too! And the staff was the friendliest!

The coffee is great but the ambience and design might not attract everyone.
They only have very uncomfortable stools which height is hit or miss depending on the table.

Always perfect coffee and very quick service. I’ve used that “Joe” app a few times and it is super convenient.

I got a nice coffee drink and me and my friend split an marranito and it was great. Big recommend.

Wow normally I think dark matter is pretty good but I haven't been compelled to write a review. Atmosphere and service is super nice. Coffee was top notch, I had the Mayan mocha. But the best part for me was their semisweet drinking chocolate. This is rare to see in Chicago and wow it was perfect. I don't live in the neighborhood but I will now go here anytime I'm on the NW side.

I’m from Northwest Arkansas-home of the well-known Onyx Coffee Lab. I’ve been searching for high quality coffee ever since I moved to Chicago over a year ago and anything Dark Matter is now my go-to. Love this location, love the house-made syrups and quality coffee. Staff has always been helpful and I love that they’re open at 7, hard to find a nice quality place in the city open that early. Highly recommend!

I'd rather drive out of my way and support this place than go to a Starbucks or Dunkin.

And they serve Do-Rite donuts which is a plus.

Great staff and company. They are my go-to for my coffee needs during the pandemic.
