Excellent local coffee roastery. It has the best and freshest coffee in east central Illinois, and very good tea, at reasonable prices. It also sells coffee and tea products such as dishware, teapots and a very good home espresso machine that they service if necessary.

Larry David would be able to open a very successful spite store with these beans.

My office gets their coffee and it's horrible. It comes in vacuum packed pouches and is probably really cheap. Cafe Kopi uses the same kind of roast which confuses me even more, but also explains why their coffee tastes as bad as it does. I haven't tried every roast but your flagship/mass produced bean should be better than that.

Amazing, good priced coffee with free shipping so fast you sometimes have to wait a day or two to grind the beans (they put a sticker on the bag to let you know when the beans are ready) - they also offer fun super informative (free**) tasting classes every month!

Excellent place to buy freshly roasted coffee. You may buy it whole bean or any custom grind you want. Decaffeinated varieties are good too! Also can buy a variety of tea.

It smells great in there... They have a fantastic variety of flavored ground coffees, and they switch the flavors out often with the seasons. And they even have a punch card! Buy 10 bags, get the next one free!

So glad to have this business locally. Their coffee is amazing and I love trying out their new flavors.

Columbia Street Roastery offers a good selection of coffee from around the world. I recommend the Guatemalan roast, but a lot of my friends and coworkers like the Black Velvet (if you like dark roasts)

I placed an online order to be mail delivered. Order was received promptly, correctly, and I was informed of transit each step of the way! I love Columbia Street Roastery and will definitely be ordering again.

I found Columbia Street Roastery as I was looking for a place to buy good coffee while I was attending UIUC. This is some of the best coffee I have bought to date. I have since graduated and moved away from Champaign and I still order coffee from CSR on a regular basis. Coffee from CSR is also what got my mom hooked on speciality coffee. I have never been disappointed with the beans from CSR.
I always buy whole bean and use a hand grinder to grind for either my french press, pour over, or turkish coffee pot. When I order nowadays, I tend to get 2 pounds at a time (which is well worth it, considering shipping is only $4). $11.75 per pound is a great price, considering that coffee from roasters near me is usually $15-20 for 3/4 of a pound.
For someone who has never had CSR coffee, I would recommend Escobar's Blend, or their single origin Ethiopian Yirgacheffe or Guatemalan coffees.
