I REALLY wanted to give this place more stars but I cannot justify it off this sole visit. We will revisit one more time to see if it was just an off night. We arrived around 7:15 feeling that was well enough time before the 8pm closing time for a light Supper. We ordered canned drinks while we perused the menu. It was pretty busy for one waitress to handle the mini rush so we were in no hurry. Some people arrived after us and received their food before we did ours. She had forgotten us. All in all it was 2 hours before we received our food and we spent the greater part of the/ evening there chatting with the owner as they began to shut down.

The food was on par with typical bar food. We ordered a burger and fries and the taco special. The side salad was fresh but we could tell the beans and rice for the tacos were canned/boxed. The owner also admitted the chili is also canned even though a good quality one. The salsa although, was homemade by his wife and was very tasty!

It's a bit out of the way for most but if you like the "off-the-beaten-path" locally owned and run places, don't be discouraged, as it's a great way to meet with more local people.

A great place to go. It's a nice out of the way country spot. Great food with terrific service.

Surrounded by beauty, this little Cafe serves up scrumptious food. Each of us tried different options and shared-all was delicious. We'll be back. They have a great store too!

Pricing just right. Food is delicious and beef patties are real. 5stars all the way

Worth the drive! I've tried most of the menu and never had anything that wasn't GREAT. Fries are awesome. I love the salt n pepper ones. Huge omelets w lots of filling, burgers are 1/2 pound and come every way imaginable. Foot long coney is like a sausage 🌭 just absolutely fantastic food! Very accommodating of special diet too! I'm low carb. Great service too. The owner, Eric is often there too. It's where locals connect.

Great burgers. Great biscuits and gravy. Love this cafe!

Best corned beef hash in town! Stopped in the morning with a local buddy and this is quite the little mom and pop style joint. Ran by good people, especially Eric the owner. Great conversation and food on a Sunday morning!

Eric runs the best spot in the valley. A true small town diner. The food always exceeds our guests expectations and you can grab your groceries there also. We run a small business and enjoy supporting good small businesses. Vay's/Hoodoo Creek Cafe is our go to lunch spot in the valley. Thanks Eric!

We enjoyed a very nice lunch with friends. The restaurant was very busy. There was just one wait staff but our food was wonderful and our server did a great job providing refills and taking care of all our needs. Can hardly wait to try more of the wonderful menu items!

Service was super slow, never got a drink refill, order was wrong and my burger was both cold and burnt. Couldn't even finish it. It really sucks cause last time the food was excellent and service was good. I was 1 of 4 occupied tables so it's not like it was slammed. Definitely not coming back. I'm leaving hungry and severely disappointed. I'm going to go to McDonald's for some better food now.
