Flight of Fancy

I love this place! Susan the "Bakestress" is a wonderful and adventurous baker. She has perfected croissants, anything huckleberry, lemon cream cheese muffins, cookies, egg salad sandwiches (yes!), Nanaimo bars, Christmas Stollen, breakfast burritos, I could go on for a long time. We have special ordered cakes for a family reunion, my daughter's wedding, my birthday, and many other special events. Her claim to fame and never fail Best of Bakery is the 6# cheesecake. It's awesome. Right here in Donnelly.

You know how sometimes you aren't sure if the baked goods are worth the calories? Here they are. The best baked goods around! The Huckleberry muffins are wonderful. You'll be happy with any of your choices. It's a true gem.

If you're lucky enough to catch them when they are open, their muffins and drinks are delicious. Unfortunately, I have gotten the vibe that they don't want to be open more than they have to be. Some of the busiest summer days of the year they are out of the shop by noon. Too bad - every time I go there and they are closed there are always other families who have parked and are walking in to be disappointed as well! But the sweets are DELICIOUS.

Mediocre food and very rude staff. The huckleberry items were decent, but the breakfast burrito and sandwich were not good at all. I don’t remember the last time I had a more boring breakfast burrito.

Awesome little bakery. Fantastic maple bars with a whipped maple butter type topping. Standard items as well as some huckleberry items makes it a great little stop.

This eatery is locally owned, excellent in house pastry bakers, quality coffee served, friendly welcomes. Always a delicious & pleasant stop.

Quaint place. Excellent service with a smile. Delicious maple bars & divine coffee. Gotta try their house made huckleberry syrup. Will be back!

2 days in a row and I'm coming back again tomorrow. The turkey and their soups are actual perfection! Don't miss out on the huckleberry-zuchinni bread!!!

Well worth the drive to much on the delectable menu. Super coffee's and great food.

Lovely atmosphere and down to earth people.

Will make the trip often.
