Quite possibly the Taro burger is the best burger I've ever had. The pea sprouts, mushrooms, and pesto sauce blew me away. It is awesome! I will definitely come again on my next visit. Also a nice health food market. If I was a local resident, this is the store I would shop at.

Many local goods plus the croissant and avocado toast is delicious.
Add: they have these fantastic grocery bags but a bit pricey. The story behind them is great and we came back to buy more.

I suggest you guys come here. Theres also a section where you can make your own coffee. The snacks I got here was cheap.

Such a delightful market with local goods. Great place to stock up for your stay or get gifts for friends back home.

Clean and well-stocked market with so many goodies! You can find anything from basic drugstore items to fresh fruit, deli meats, and other lunch items. They also have speciality items.
The cafe serves breakfast and lunch items as well as coffee and smoothies. Enjoyed the avocado toast, spam with rice, and Belgian waffles with Iilikoi butter. Yum! The cafe has a small sit down area with a few 2-4 seaters.

This is a great stop after visiting the Kilauea Lighthouse to grab some groceries, snacks, drinks, etc...The spicy ahi poke bowl at the Kilauea Market was really good and a generous serving.

Always a pretty solid experience. Love coming here on my days off work to buy dark chocolate (lol) and get a burger from the diner. The loafs of mango, guava, and coconut bread at the check out counters are a legit omega level threat to my sugar intake. So delicious I can't stop eating! Oh, and do yourself a favor and get a poke bowl while you're here, large servings with plenty toppings.

We had a really bad experience with John at the Cafe. My boyfriend is vegan, and asked if the Taro Burger could be made vegan. John replied that it was a vegan burger. My boyfriend asked if the cheese and aoili had dairy and eggs, and John laughed and said "Of course, there's cheese in the pesto sauce too, but there's no meat. There's so many varieties of vegan."
It's completely fine and common to not know what dietary restrictions vegans have, however, John was extremely rude and dismissive. In the market section there is a good selection of grocery items marketed to vegans, so it's reasonable to assume that the cafe area would also have a vegan selection.
If you have any dietary restrictions, I do not recommend going to the Cafe.

I bought a pastele plate that didn't agree with me. I ended up nauseated, going to the e.r. & had a doctor's note because I couldn't go to work. I stayed home a slept. I'm not doing that again. But the over all experience was awesome. The customer service was excellent & I got some iced tea & fruits that I ended up having a few days later when I felt back to normal.
