Kauai Kookie Bakery & Kitchen

Small "hole in the wall" type place. When you see a lot of locals going in and out of this restaurant, you know it's good! There are only 3 booths and 3 small tables. Everything seemed it was made fresh to order. The food was excellent and reminded me and my family of our Japanese Mom's and Aunties food. So So good! I highly recommend this place. Servings were bi and the food was "just over the top" delicious and authentic Hawaiian!

Their huli huli chicken plate is really great. Moist and juicy.

Not sure about the food yet. We've been waiting for a long time. Definitely call it in, way in advance. It's been a long wait and there's only a couple other customers. Everything smells good and we're getting very hungry.

So my friends and I were looking for some breakfast and went into Kauai kookie. I’m usually picky about where we eat since I’m a pro cook. So my standard were not highs since we were hungry. They got French toast and I got the loco moco double. My eggs were raw I know the runny yolk means it’s not raw but when egg whites are it’s concerning. We had donuts which were 2 days old or more which is concerning. They never brought us our drinks. The French toast was blabbed. They didn’t do a thing right on my visit not sure how they are in business right now.

We were pressed for time and hungry for healthy salads and unhealthy desserts today. Unfortunately it seemed like new staff and everyone was nice, helpful, but under trained. It took a very long time to ring my sale. The food came out somewhat promptly, but they put ice in my friend's rootbeer float, immediately corrected it. The Ahi Salad was solid, extra crispy almonds gave it a nice crunch. Her Asian chicken salad was tasty too. This is a MUST goto for big PARTIES, due to the wide variety of menu selections and extra wide dessert choices! MAHALO

Popular spot for takeout meals and boxes. They carry all varieties of Kauai Kookies which can be hard to find at other stores. They do not have some of the gift boxes and packs they carry at the store in Hanapepe.
