I’m a big fan of taro chips and they pretty much make them fresh here. We ended up complimenting this with fresh poke we had made from a fishing charter trip with Go Fish Kauai. I got a few bags so plan on snacking on these at the beach. $7 a bag but worth it given the quality and freshness. Support local 🫶

Great taro chips! Worth the stop/detour. The place doesn’t look like much but the best ones often don’t. I just wish I would have bought more! The chips were super thinly sliced, extra crunchy but not oily - just delicious flavour! A must go on the ‘west coast’.

Delicious chips! Better than what is prepackaged at the regular grocery stores. Comes in taro, sweet potato or potato. Regular or li hing mui flavored. I loved the sweet potato li hing mui and taro; will try them all! The sweet old man who works there has lived on Kauai all his life. He said they are open on Thanksgiving as well. Will return often!

Some of the most delicious chips I have eaten. The taro ko and sweet potato chips are good, but the flavor of the potato chips is amazing. If you are in the area, I would stop by and try all three. Be warned, the owner is on island time and comes and goes as he pleases and everything is on a first come first serve basis, so good luck... may the odds be ever in your favor.

The sweetest old man selling homemade potato, sweet potato, and taro chips - super delicious and the best chips anywhere! Includes li hing mui flavor options as well

We went there with a friend who lives there on the island. We feel in love with the taro chips. Is there a websight or another way to contact them to place an order to ship? Thanks

I discovered this place when I was in high school (and I graduated in 1987!), and I love that this place is still open! Back then, it was a sweet little “oba-san” who ran it, and if I’m remembering it correctly, it’s now her son that runs the place. Best $5 (they haven’t raised their prices after all this time, by the way) you’ll ever spend.
