I wish we discovered this place sooner on our vacation! The food was absolutely amazing! We got the two types of shrimp (coconut and garlic) and they were both so delicious! Honestly the best meal I have had on this trip so far. Highly recommend eating here! The owners were so kind and helped me choose what side to get. The macaroni was excellent. We already decided to go there for breakfast tomorrow.

THIS IS HANDS DOWN THE BEST FOOD WE HAD ON THE ISLAND!!! And we are huge foodies and pretty much stopped at all the best places on Kauai. It was incredible and I will be dreaming about it for awhile. My partner ordered the Churro French Toast and it was so so good!! I have never really been a huge fan of french toast but this had a thicc caramelized cinnamon-y crust and served alongside whipped cream served in my favorite form-- in a heaping pile! It was amazing!! I ordered the Kauai Garlic Shrimp and it was TO DIE FOR!! I would take that lemon garlic butter sauce's hand in holy matrimony. The only part of the meal that was a disappointment was that I got full and couldn't finish my delicious, soul-comforting food. Do yourself a favor and make sure to eat here while you're on Kauai, you won't regret it!!

Wonderfully awesome and of course Delicious. The Garlic Shrimp are so aromatic you have to order them, the Katsu Chicken was the tastiest I've ever had IMO. And the Kalua Pork Burrito was full juicy goodness. It's a definite stop for true Kauai Island food!
Overall,
Top notch food ✅️
Great atmosphere ✅️
And Great service ✅️

This was our fave meals on the North Shore! We got the coconut shrimp and it was perfectly breaded, flavours were 10/10. Would recommend & will definitely return.
Staff were also very friendly & efficient considering the general short staffing it appears the North Shore is facing. Support these guys!!

This place is Ono! The service is a little slow but that means they’re cooking your meals from scratch and it’s fresh. The garlic shrimp is my favorite. The shrimp is fresh and cooked just right and that garlic sauce goes well with the rice. Both Kimchi and Mac salad are delicious sides. The chicken katsu is crispy and tasty with the teriyaki sauce on the bottom. The Kauai burrito is packed full of flavor. It’s so big you have to share with another. The Fried Churro French Toast is crunchy and cinnamony and goes well with the buttery cream whipping. Make sure to get an half order because it’s big enough to share with two.

Best meal since we’ve been here! We had the katsu chicken and garlic shrimp. The flavors were so delicious. And the rice- perfection. I wish we could buy the macaroni salad by the gallon. We will be going back sev times before we leave.

Recommended by my nephew, who's a local boy here. We kept coming after closing time so we made sure to stop by in the morning. Cute shop on the corner, walk up the stairs after parking across the street at the Hanalei center parking lot.
Got here around 9am and it was perfect, not too crowded or busy.
Basic B - rice with a little sprinkle of furikake, 6 Portuguese sausage slices with over easy eggs. Cooked perfectly. 🍳
Chicken katsu plate lunch - chicken katsu drenched in sweet shoyu sauce, rice and Mac salad. Different from local style with katsu sauce but still held it own and delicious 😋
Small shop had lots of fun stickers with different sayings matter of factly. And curse words so don't bring Littles who can read, unless you don't care. But it was fun looking through their selection from stickers to magnets to candles to even water filtration items. Reminded me of that section in the book store with different varieties of eccentricities.
Highly recommended 👌 As a local I loved it and so did many tourists that were visiting.

The truck is now at a brick & mortar location. In a strip mall just North of its last spot. Delicious ingredients made everything excellent! Fresh brewed iced tea & lemonade were a perfect compliment to our entrees! Every thing we tried was great, you can't go wrong! Enjoyed both breakfast & lunch at this spot.

The food was great. I ordered the half size Churro French Toast and it was delicious. Someone even came up to me at the picnic table I was at and asked where I got my food. Definitely order the half size if only one person is eating, as it is more than enough. The restaurant had almost no seating, and the two tables they did have were “reserved” the entire time I was in the store but, which was about half an hour, and no one ever came to sit in them. Not sure why or how they run their seating, but we did have to take our food to a nearby picnic table that had a lot of ants lol. The store was also VERY hot inside. They also seemed a little bit slow for the fact that they had three employees and not too many customers in the store as I was there around 10:30am. It was about a 20 minute wait for my food, with nowhere to sit in a very hot, small room. The store did have some cute trinkets, but it was unbearably hot and stuffy to wait in for so long with so little customers in the store. Keep in mind that this was in November, I can’t imagine how warm and packed it would be in summer. Food was five stars, losing a star for the uncomfortable waiting area and only two tables.

Omg my boyfriend and I were shocked at the portion and amazing quality of the food! We ordered coconut shrimp with a side of seaweed salad and shoyu chicken with a side of kimchi. DELICIOUS 🤤 you gotta mix the coconut soup with your rice when eating it. Would love to try the garlic shrimp next time!
