Barcelona Coffee and Bistro

My new favorite place for breakfast. Located in front of San Patricio Plaza this bakery has everything. Pastries, breakfast, sandwiches, unch options and even alcoholic drinks. The prices are great, I ordered a spanish omelette and my wife ordered the french toast with fruit. Both were great portions at a unbeatable price.

No croissants. Seriously? Taking the name Barcelona, let alone Panadería, feels just slanderous.

No heavy cream either?

They have a sign showing you all the different styles of cafe con leche y espresso, but the staff doesn’t seem to know what you’re talking about if you ask for a flat white (hey the sign is in English). Cappuccinos come with a mountain of canned whipped cream (call it something else maybe but it’s really not a cappuccino). Takes 10 min to get a coffee with only one person in line ahead of you. Takes 20 min to get food.

Just so mediocre it’s a bit painful. 🥲

Food was cold when received I ordered a small portion of oatmeal last week and they gave me a small container with the oatmeal and today they gave me a cup of coffee with oatmeal on it and asked why it was different and Ana said that's the small one and she turned around with attitude and kept walking without the explanation.

Good food and quality of service. Gave 4 stars because "la tortilla española" was a little over cooked on the date. 4.5 rate.

Very friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere, good food, great value for money.

Slow delivery of sandwiches although they were very good.

The moment we arrived the employees kept talking out loud that they were underemployed and they kept saying that what ever food they had out was all they had to serve. The chiken was really dry and I found two hairs in my chiken. I was also giving plastic silverware even though I was eating inside the restaurant. My girlfriend had been there 3 times before and recommended the place but I don't know what happened today.

Great coffee and quesitos, but service is terrible! Waited almost 20 minutes for a cup of coffee! Definitely need to speed up service!

Went in for breakfast and got out disappointed. Food quality was good. Coffee was excellent. HOWEVER... Service needs to improve. The cashier was in a hurry when I ordered (there was no one else in line!). I explained that it was my first time in, and she didn't care to welcome me or helped me by telling me about the things I could order... I asked for coffee to come out with my food and seeing that it was taking forever, I approached another server that was handling orders on the coffee counter. I very politely asked her if they could give me my coffee before my food and she replied "Let me see... but Im not sure, we are very busy here." Of course, she didn't even try to ask anyone else about it. She was handling the building's orders that needed delivery. I know because immediately after I approached her, she started ranting to the cook and another server about the tickets being misplaced and about some other guy not being helpful. - A complete mess! Stressful attitudes all over the place. I decided to order another coffee to see if they would put it out first, being that it was just a coffee, but nop, it came out with the food too! 🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ I did not mind the 2 coffees, but the service left a lot to be desired.
