River Mill Bakery

Both desserts purchased yesterday were very bland and not fresh. The brownie was very hard and the chocolate honey cake had a strange texture. They to clear out their cooler daily and bake fresh everyday.

Frozen garbage is what I received for the two pieces of cake I purchased for over $12. Freezer burnt cheesecake was so disgusting we spit it out! Shame on you charging those prices for frozen cheesecake. Do not waste your money here. I would give zero stars if possible. What a huge disappointment.

Neat little Bakery in downtown Sugar Hill. Badly needed in this area as there is no place to get coffee or a pastry after 1:00 p.m. the staff is very friendly but not very knowledgeable about coffee or some of the products yet. Definitely a place it's finding its footing and I can't wait to see how it develops. Bakery items are really good.

An absolutely marvelous experience! The staff is friendly and loves discussing the various desserts and dishes they provide, and the food itself was stellar. I had an Italian panini, vanilla latte, and a slice of limoncello cake that was all top notch! Will be back for more!

Disclaimer: I have only been by once, so maybe it was a fluke.
I was so excited to see a bakery pop up here and had such high hopes, but wow was it a disappointment. I will say I came in only to buy bread, and was disappointed to see they only had two loaves! Maybe they keep more in the back, because the website shows several kinds, but when I spoke to the staff at the counter they did not indicate that there was anything else available. So my choice was a loaf of pre-sliced white (sandwich style) bread or pre-sliced wheat (sandwich style) bread.
I opted to grab one even though it wasn't what I needed, hoping it would at least make some good sandwiches, but it turned out to be dry, tough, and crumbly, with a very strong plastic flavor (as if it was placed in the plastic sleeve before cooking). Ended up throwing most of it out, and that's coming from someone who will sit down and eat most of a loaf of bread to keep it from going to waste.
It sounds like most people come here for the food (the café aspect) or the pastries. Which leaves Publix and it's good-but-limited selection of breads as my only good option around here.

absolutely amazing food and coffee for amazing prices and really nice owners!! they also roast their own coffee which is nice.

Ordered a slice of baklava, a large cappuccino, and a MASSIVE slice of cheesecake and it all came out to just over $10. All three tasted amazing and the cappuccino was just perfect. I wished I lived closer because this would be my new coffee spot!

How did we not visit this bakery earlier? We ordered the honey cake and caramel cheesecake. Both are very delicious. And I haven't seen the multilayer cake like this for a while. We'll definitely come back.

My cappuccino was delicious and the cheese danish was so good it didn’t even make it home. The atmosphere is adorable and the service was wonderful. I would definitely recommend this little spot to anyone
