Came in at 4:55 and the employees were blatantly perturbed for a customer to walk in the door during business hours. Seeing the scowls and sensing the hostility, I asked if it was ok to still order coffee, and they begrudgingly complied. Coffee itself was delicious. Some other couple tried to walk in as we were leaving at 4:58 and the employees had locked the door at that point. If you want to close at 4:45 or 4:30, why not post that as your hours instead of making your customers – who by the way are the reason you are employed – feel like a nuisance. Jerks!

Stopped in this weekend and so glad we found this little gem! Coffee and pastries (and tea!) were delicious, the staff was welcoming, and the vibe was just so pleasant. Absolutely more than worth a detour if you're even remotely close to Ellijay- we'll be back soon!

Passing through Ellijay and stopped to pick up some dinner. Saw the coffee shop and had to stop. Had the cold brew and it was very good but the whiskey caramel brownie was the real star. Wish I could have tried more things because everything looked so good.

If there were more stars I would give more! I had the best nitro coffee I have ever had. The pastries are to die for. The staff is so friendly and engaging. They also sell really nice items in store! I love sitting in the window to people watch too. Such a nice addition to the square.. Don't miss out of an amazing coffee experience choose Das Kaffe House!

This place is great! great selection, fun drink combinations, and all the pastries are made from scratch right there! Michael is a great guy with an infectious positive energy and will just make you smile the second he sees you. Don’t miss this new spot in downtown Ellijay

Nice small shop and very friendly staff. Pastries looked great. Coffee and latte were underwhelming, but much better than a chain.

ULTIMATE HOT CHOCCY = DESSERT IN A GLASS. 5 STARS A+++. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Staff is complimentary to French names and fabulous boots worn by patrons.

I really enjoyed my coffee drink! I had a latte without milk and Irish Cream flavoring. I just wish that there was more inside seating.
