Gardenias Bistro

I was really excited to try this place because of the reviews and pictures, but I found it overpriced with disappointing food. There were no prices on the chalkboard and I got some serious sticker shock when they told me the total. I ordered the hummus plate but all of the veggies were all pretty old and tired, I could almost bend the carrot stick over onto itself without it breaking. The pita chips were also stale. My wife got the pancake bites, which we also found disappointing. The yogurt/fruit bowl was the silver lining with fresh fruit and yogurt. The atmosphere is very nice, but I would not go back.

The place is beautiful, has a welcoming atmosphere. The staff is friendly, courteous. Most importantly, the food is great, well presented, tasteful and freshly made. My friends and I truly enjoyed ourselves. We will definitely come back and bring family next time.

Amazing to say the least. You may have to wait but it is well worth it. I had the oatmeal and a iced chai tea latte. My husband had a smoothie and pancake bites. Our friend had a BLT and coffee. Everything is fresh and delicious. Can’t wait for our next visit to Islamorada so we can come back!

Way overpriced!! Lattes are okay and service very slow. We ordered two lattes, one shake, and two smoothies it was over $50. I asked about the price of the two sizes of coffee and the lady wouldn't tell me, she just said just ordered whichever size you want. Then after ordering she came up to us and asked which size my husband wanted as if the $50+ for everything didn't include the larger size. Smoothies are also just out of a package, couldn't customize them. Also coffee syrups are sugar free.

Wonderful family run restaurant plus plant shop. The food we had was super yummy and great quality. The ambiance could not have been better. The mom and daughter who run Gardenias are super kind. I love the vision and mission of this place. Will def be back and I look forward to going to the bar when it opens and to yoga classes.

This place is a cafe with something of a healthy-foods minded twist, great espresso, and a lovely environment full of plants and even some animals around. Don't forget to stop in the store nestled behind, as they have a bunch of lovely trinkets and you can get your own seeds or even full grown plants, of which their variety is quite impressive, both local cultivars and exotic flowers, some of which I'd seen only for the first time (a purple datura? Wow!)

Definitely stop here on your way through the keys or come again throughout your stay in Islamorada. It's really nice here.

Offering a surprising wide variety of food and beverages for such a small building. Lovely outside only seating area within the Island Home Garden nursery property. A sidewalk entrance off the bike trail would make this an easy stop on a bike ride.

Beautiful setting. Love the organic healthy food choice and smoothies! Very eco conscience! ❤️

So cute!!! Such a delicious coffee they made and the space is amazing. I am wishing I came hungry since the whole menu looks so promising. Definitely worth stopping in to check out the menu and walk through the garden area.
