The cashier was barely awake at 8:45am, coffee may have been a day old or just really weak, no sugar available to sweeten the coffee, and food was delivered with no napkins or utensils. Very disappointing. A perfect pandemic safe place to have a bite to eat and coffee if only they had decent food and coffee.

One of the newest and coolest coffee shops in Tallahassee! The Power Plant is located in Cascades, beneath the Edison restaurant, with one of the single most relaxing views a coffee shop could possibly have. Just outside the doors is a waterfall, which gets even better if you hang around until it gets dark, as it is lit up. The coffee, "energized by Catalina Cafe," is of the great quality I have come to expect from any of the Catalina Cafes throughout Tallahassee. I usually take my coffee black and it still is perfect. I have taken to doing most of my studying here, as it has WIFI and provides a calm, quiet atmosphere for work. The building itself is beautiful, complete with a wine rack in the wall and a sort of steam punk vibe.

We paid 12 dollars for 2 iced lattes which were not lattes at all- they were iced coffee, which is nowhere near deserving of $6 a piece. We asked the girl working to refund us as we didn’t drink them. She said she did, and told us to have a good day without giving us any sort of receipt for the transactions. She never refunded us, so we paid for drinks we didn’t even drink or like. Horrible.
It was Sunday 8/23 around 11:30 am! Beautiful location very bad experience!!

I enjoyed my lemonade while walking this very well maintained park! I look forward to trying more drinks!

Disappointed is an understatement. My friends and I ordered the French Dip sandwich with the daily special Gumbo as the side. When the food was brought to the table, I asked if my sandwich was the one of the three with no onions. The waitress said “ oh there are no alterations, the sandwiches were not fresh, they were pre made and just heated up” that explains the bland taste and goo like texture. The gumbo was very spicy, too spicy for all at our table, and I assure you, we are experienced diners, not being picky. I guess the worse part is the $15.00 price tag for a heated up sub par sandwich like you can get at most gas stations. If you can’t make it fresh why open for lunch?

A confluence of great things can be found here. The coffee and treat are great. The food which includes sandwiches, breakfast sandwiches, and tasty treats is great. The service is great. The location and view is great.
State employees receive a discount and prices are reasonable. This place is a treat, particularly during workdays.

Amazing, friendly & knowledgeable staff, great breakfast - just the right size, put together with care, fresh, etc. - and one of the best lattes I’ve had in a long time (Zoe’s Revenge). Relaxed vibe and clean space, brought our 100lb black lab & sat outside overlooking the park. Highly highly recommend.

If you want slow and over priced coffee come here!!!

Great coffee, well prepared food, tranquil covered outside seating in Cascade Park or stay inside on cold days. This is out of the way if you are driving, but is well worth the side trip down Suwannee from Lafayette St. Parking is OK in the morning, but can be tight in the afternoon.

I waited with my family for a long time and no waiter came to take our orders. I have no problem waiting, but the problem is being totally ignored. Waiters were passing by, serving people behind us and those that came later. We finally decided to walkout as not to waste our time considering there's a lot of great restaurants with awesome service in Tallahassee.
