As an avid coffee drinker I’d say the coffee was mediocre at best. I gave it a 6/10 in terms of taste. I got a caramel latte iced with oat milk and I could taste more of the oat milk than the espresso itself. As a Starbucks barista, It was also made with the shots on top of the iced milk than the shots on the bottom like it should’ve been. I know that Starbucks as a company may slightly change the makeup of coffee beverages but lattes across the board are made with syrup - shots - milk - ice, not syrup - milk - ice - shots. If I wanted it the second way I would’ve ordered it to be made like a macchiato. My boyfriends cold brew was definitely smooth but also more watery than anything, resulting in super watery coffee very fast. I haven’t been so disappointed about coffee in a long time.
Apart from the coffee the barista behind the counter was arrogant and was full of herself. I couldn’t get out of the conversation fast enough. Her way of doing her job was more so acting like the customer didn’t know anything. Which in customer service can be true, but you can’t treat all customers like you know more than them. She made a comment about how she was a bartender so it helps as a barista but they’re two different things, different measurements, similarities in memorizing how drinks are made but it’s like comparing a lemon to a lime. I didn’t think she was very knowledgeable about coffee which isn’t good for a business. Her attitude, along with the taste of the coffee, is what will make going to Foxtail my boyfriend and I’s last experience.

Cute cafe. Decent amount of seating. Have worked here for school work before and it's perfect area. Workers there are always efficient and friendly.
10/10 would recommend coming here to study if you wanna take a study day outside of home.

This place is very hit or miss. First time I was in I had an incredible espresso and a mediocre drip coffee. Since then I’ve been consistently disappointed by the espresso with occasional good drips(mostly bad). They have the capability to be good but I don’t think the training is good, that or the baristas don’t care enough about quality.
I’ve tried the beans a couple times because I really want to like foxtail, but have been unhappy as a whole with the roast quality. Too much unevenness, scorch, etc. I have tried every setting on my grinder and multiple ways of brewing the beans and have been hated all of it.
Edit: I have found that if you go early enough you are treated to good coffee by baristas who know what they’re doing. The coffee beans could still be improved, they are roasting darker and darker.

My wife ordered a latte with almond milk. Never been charged at any other coffee house for the almond milk until now. 75 cents for Almond milk!! On top of $4.69 for the latte. Almost $6 for a latte!! Save your money!! That’s the least of the problems with this place! I ordered a 12oz French press to go, they served it in a to stay cup, I asked them to pour into a 12 ounce to go cup
And it filled barely a half a cup. They were ok with that and had no plans of making more coffee until I told them to fill the cup. They told me that the French press machine only makes that much. I asked them how they make a 16oz cup then? Waited 33 minutes in total for my coffee and no apologies, no discounts, no refunds… last time I will be back!
I appreciate the response, but why would I ever give you another shot at $7 for an almond Latte?? There are so many other coffee houses that charge much less. I will pass.

I'm not sure that there is a coffee shop in St. Pete with better staff. It's actually bizarre to see the reviews about impolite staff. I come here every day because of how friendly and welcoming they are. The atmosphere is great as well! 10/10. Would absolutely recommend.

So excited for this place! Definitely gonna be one of my go-to places in St. Pete. I’ve been to some Orlando locations and they have top notch service and coffee, so don’t sleep on it. They’re officially open on 9/29 which is what they told us when we came in today hoping for some coffee LOL. They were welcoming though and the design/atmosphere was lovely!

Great location, nice decor. 3 stars for that.
$5 for a plain, smallest size latte is outrageous. -1 star for that. Charging 75 cents extra EACH for vanilla and oat milk on a different drink is excessive as well, -1 star for that. There are way better coffee shops around in St Pete, taste wise, price wise, and 100% local.

Only one girl behind bar and she had a few people waiting. she would start on one drink and then leave it to get someone else’s order, making that drink cold. Ended up taking three orders while making our drinks. Got them lukewarm. Not wearing a mask and had to smell my drink to make sure the oat milk was going into the right cup because she was distracted. Needs better time management and efficiency skills. cute place but service really needs work…
