Loved this local spot! Full of character and good coffee house vibes. The pastries were incredible: croissants both savory and sweet, muffins, and more when I went. I got the leek and parm and it was incredible. They'll heat them up for you too which is *key*. Lots to look at inside and ample seating both in and outdoors. The book store, Tombolo, next door is amazing too! You can even hop on the SunRunner and get let out right in front of the coffee shop on 1st Ave. or take it all the way down to the shore. Will be back again anytime I'm in the 'burg :)

This is my second time here, but I doubt I'll be going back. There are just too many really great alternatives within walking distance.

First, the Pros:
1) It has a cool, hip, bohemian vibe with unusual decor and comforable seating.
2) The coffee was pretty good, and they appear amenable to unusual requests.
3) There are electrical outlets at most, but not all, tables/couches. However, there is a counter that seats 8, and has no outlets.
4) The outside seating in the back is off the main street and fairly secluded. All the tables have umbrellas, and are quite comfortable except in the heat of summer.
5) The back patio area also hosts several craft-type tents in the late afternoons.
6) Next door is an ecclectic bookstore.

Now, the Cons:
1) They have some assorted baked goods, but not a huge selection - two types of muffins, and maybe 4 or 5 other items. The muffin I had was pretty good.
2) They don't list many of the basic coffee drinks on the menu (mocha, latte, au lait, cappuccino, etc.), but they DO list about 8 specialty/unusual drinks. No teas were on the menu.
3) It is LOUD. There was only one other couple conversing while I was there, and they had to raise their voices to be heard over the music (which was New-Age Pop, and bit too loud) and the barista. Honestly, the barista hasn't been introduced to the concept of inside- vs outside-voices. He shouts to customers 2 feet in front of him. Reading was impossible except far from the counter.
4) They close at 5:00 every day. Seriously, right as people are getting off work and heading out for the evening. And on the weekend, too?? Sheesh.
4) NO WIFI!! Honestly, what cafe or restaurant doesn't have WiFi now?

Walk one block north, and you'll have a plethora of cafes and restaurants to feed your appetite for caffeine.

What a cute and unique coffee shop tucked away in downtown St.Pete!! ☕️
I always bring my family when they come to town and visit. Like clockwork, they always end up taking a bag of coffee beans home with them. Love coming here, just be careful with parking. Read signs!

Eclectic coffee and tea experience. Great baked goods, the croissants were flaky and buttery. Recommend having them toasted. Coffee was superb. The best part was the banana nut muffin. We got the last one...they sold out at 930am.

Vanilla bean latte was gas. 10/10 cute court yard nice vibes. Dog friendly of course. Croissants were so good too I almost forgot about that but it was so yummy and flakey.

I've been looking all over for a funky welcoming coffee shop. When I first went by this place I knew it had the look of just the right kind of place. When I finally got back to it, it was afternoon and I still had a coffee just to experience the place. This is a 5 ⭐ coffee joint as you are made to feel welcome by the staff and you just want to hang out and enjoy the eclectic nature of the place. Food looked good but didn't try any.

Came here this morning with my girlfriend to check this place out. The reviews are great and I can see why. This coffee shop has a friendly, open, and welcoming environment. The staff was friendly. And we loved the all round “good vibes” of the place. Vanilla bean lattes were really tasty and not too sugary. Try the vegan banana loaf, you won’t be disappointmented. Very moist! They have a lovely area for outdoor seating where you can enjoy your coffee and treats! Try it today!

Really good coffee, and their shortbread cookie with rosemary is incredible! It got quite packed onto the weekends- to the point where you might wait 20 minutes for a coffee, but the atmosphere is great. It's the perfect place to rest, read a book after a bike ride on the Pinellas trail!

We came across this coffee shop by accident. WOW! Incredibly decorated, plenty of seating and the coffee drinks are amazing!

Edit: they just opened the inside seating and this place is even more pleasant and quaint than before!! I love coming here in the mornings and looking at all the art on the walls.

Beneath Black Crow's cozy appearance is some seriously good espresso and super tasty vegan empanadas. You can tell that each drink is crafted with care and there are a lot of great choices. I'm a huge fan of the Banana Mocha latte but you can't go wrong with any of their options! I would recommend Black Crow to anyone.
