Easy going morning flow, always has a smile.

This is the best coffee place in Panama City. The staff is super great and friendly. The coffee is always perfect. There's a perfect view of the bay outside the window, and nice outdoor seating. They have cute little events often, and the other week I went to a great art show they held.

Amavida has amazing coffee and the most delicious bakery treats. The atmosphere is cozy and the staff treats you like a friend. My 8 year old son is borderline obsessed with the steamers and they always remember his order.

This place is within walking distance to my parents condo. Decided to give it a try because of the reviews and was quickly put off by the barista who took our order and the "owner"
The barista never once made eye contact and barely spoke two words to us when we placed our order. Not the person you want behind your counter representing your establishment. Good communication with your clientele is vital and this place epically failed.

Descent coffee shop.

Interior is okay.
Exterior has a few tables and chairs.

I did appreciate that there wasn't music dominating the air.

Staff is friendly.
Prices are steap.
Ordered a Frozen Java Chip, similar to a Starbucks Frappuccino, and cost $7 and some change.

It was topped with whip cream, which was good.
Asked for chocolate syrup and cinnamon, which they had and were glad to dress with the drink.
A fair warning, if you like the mellow non-dominating coffee taste of Frappuccinos from Starbucks, then you may not like Amavida Coffee's Frozen blends.
I found it too bitter and strong for my taste.

But overall, I'd go back.
My coworker had a muffin and said it tasted fresh and delicious.
She also had a drink, can't tell you what, but she liked it.

My husband and I were walking downtown a week ago. We popped in to this coffee shop where their were mask signs everywhere, but not a single patron wearing one. There was no one in line to get coffee and not a single employee in sight. We waited for a few minutes and then a tall man came from behind the counter from the back room.
His first words were to offer us a mask to wear, from behind his adequate plexiglass barrier and his own mask, while we stood away from the counter/bar. I, who can not wear a mask due to health reasons, politely declined and stated that I could not use his mask and would not take it from his hand either. He engaged in a small argument about “must wear a mask” and “he didn’t care that I couldn’t wear a mask” in this establishment. Again, the other patrons who were playing games at their well spaced out tables, visiting with their table guests and more were NOT wearing masks.
He refused to serve us without a mask and we declined to further the conversation as we were 1. Irritated that he would put a person at risk without any medical knowledge of why a person would decline based on medical needs. 2. Irritated that we felt singled out in this instance where the “policy” was being enforced on us, who did not intend to stay, but just order coffee and leave. 3. That we were spoken to rudely for not complying to begin with.
I am a principal person, and I would have been willing to ask my husband to order for me while I waited outside, but the mishandling of the entire situation was unnecessary. We wanted to support local, and it is unfortunate that we couldn’t. Customer service points =0
