🥇The Gathering Cafe Downtown Ocala

The Gathering Cafe is a beautiful, quaint, and aesthetically pleasing cafe. The staff are so kind, helpful, and welcoming right when you walk through the door. Their coffee is delicious and their biscuits and gravy are truly the best in town. They are to DIE FOR!! I’ve recommended this cafe to many friends and family members and they all love it. Sarah, the owner, loves serving every single customer that walks in and her smile truly brightens everyone’s day. Best cafe in town!

We had wanted to try this restaurant for a while. We both ordered quiche and my side was a salad with pecans cranberries and feta cheese, my husband had the bacon as a side. We had huge cups of coffee and cappuccino. Everything was fresh and delicious I think it's the best hidden secret in Ocala. They are closed weekends but open Monday through Friday. We sat outside on the patio and it was cool in the morning and so delightful. This will be one of our to-go places every week!

Visiting Ocala for a horse show and THIS place was our favorite experience by far. Really great staff. And delicious food. This is the first time in my lifetime that we experienced biscuits and gravy like I make it -- with actual sausage in it and actual gravy made from the sausage (not the powdered white gravy mix used by seemingly every other restaurant in the world).

If you want powdered gravy, dirt cheap prices and buffet sized servings, this is not your groove.

But, if you want QUALITY food, great service and sensible portions, this place is the bomb.

LOVED IT!! We'll be back!

Visited for the first time today for breakfast. Immediately we were greeted, handed menus, and given a quick rundown of the specials and ordering process. The vibe is casual, friendly, open, and inviting. And the FOOD, oh my!! Best cafe/restaurant breakfast I have ever had (including great spots in New York, New Orleans, Maui, Aruba....this beat them all) Yummy coffee, and amazing baked-in-house pastry. I think the owner/staff may have thought I was nuts with how much I gushed, but anyway, HIGHLY recommended!!

What a wonderful, peaceful place to have your breakfast in the morning or just a dessert. Wonderful staff and the bonus was the food. Nothing elaborate but good. Truly enjoyed it and will be going back.

Y’all I used to work here and let me tell you, best job I have ever had! The staff are amazing, welcoming and ready to meet your coffee needs, the owner is incredible, she’s such a vibrant soul, welcoming, comforting and absolutely hilarious.
And the FOOD!!! Oh my goodness! You do not want to miss any opportunity to come to this cafe!
