I've swilled coffee in nearly 25 countries and this just might be the best cup of coffee I ever had in my entire life, literally. I honestly wasn't expecting a smooth cup of java to reach such pinnacle heights from this place, I was totally caught off guard, because the coffee house looks quite ordinary and nothing special to the eyeball.

There appears to be an informal cliquey chess club that meets up once a week on Saturdays with some very seasoned players, this is not a space for tyros or newbie players.

I forgot to mention this coffee house has a worthy lunch selection of healthy menu choices.

I like this place. It's a good mile or so walk from my mom's and is a perfect stopping for a drink point on my morning walk. It's hades hot and humid and walking inside this cool comfy space is a welcome treat. I've only ever had a coffee and a croissant so i can't speak about anything else on the menu but the coffee is fine and so are the croissant. Buttery and flaky, what's not to love. The eavesdropping is awesome. The people watching, not as much. It's kind of a very vanilla sort of place which is ok but... Where are the freaks? I digress. Free wifi, fast and friendly service and cosy atmosphere, though some of the seating is old and tired and could use replacement.

One of my favorite places is town. It's pretty cheap-- especially for being in Downtown Melbourne. They specialize in coffee and tea, but they also have a good selection of food and other things like Italian soda. My only real problem is that since switching ownership, they are now closed on Sunday, which greatly limits my ability to visit.

Great independent spot for great tasting coffee in a relaxed atmosphere. The staff was cream of the crop. Pleasant and accommodating; I will make a stop long before any chain shop.

What else to say!! Love this place. The owners are soo nice.. Tuna Melt is killer!

I love Sun Shoppe!! Everyone is helpful, friendly, and professional. The coffee, beverages, and food is always fresh, hot (or iced!), fast! I will continue to make this a weekly hangout for years!!

Used to be good food, but waited 20 minutes to be served and they'd forgotten us. The place was empty. It's what I get for tipping 20% in advance. Food just came out and had wrong ingredients. They replaced my sandwich, but included the smallest possibile amount of bacon. Apparently, I was a bother. They are under new management and have dispensed with customer service. Again, I tipped 20% in advance and was treated like it was a bother to serve us on time and to correct their mistake.

This was my first time visiting this place and I can say that I am not interested in returning. One of the employees and that is the one who precisely prepares breakfast has no manners to treat a person. I went to sit in one of the high chairs and very seriously told me to sit in the lounge chairs, when there were more people in the high chairs. I could not understand that. Then, when serving my order, I could not believe that what I asked of her looked so poor and poorly presented. I swore that my croissant had no ham, because I had barely half a slice of ham and which I looked. I have always opined that problems are left at home and not taken to work to get even with clients.

This place is very laid back, relaxing, and quiet. Nice place to meet a friend and chat. Its not terribly slow but it is not a fast paced coffee shop, so if your in a rush it won't work out too well. But the staff is very pleasant and I enjoy going here for coffee and breakfast.
