Very original store, with good coffee, flavors, bagels and donuts. It's worth stopping in just to look around inside and maybe buy some political themed stuff

I visited Conservative Grounds just after they opened, and they were doing great. Back then, I thought all they needed to do was same great job day after day and they wold be legendary in no time. Well, I was just back to visit the area and it seems Conservative Grounds has upped their game. Not only do they brew a great cup of coffee and coffee reated drinks, they maintain a selection of the best donuts and some great entertainment looks, but they have added a selection of some of the best ice cream Florida has ever seen.

So I went to Conservative Grounds for the first time a few days ago. I had been looking forward to trying it out ever since reading about it in the paper. Also: Iām not giving this a 2-star review for the storeās political beliefs (I wouldnāt go there if I disagreed), or for the quality of their pastries. Iām giving Conservative Grounds a 2-Star review due to their blatant lack of care for following any sort of proper social distancing/cleaning instructions that I thought ALL businesses have to abide by to stay open.
When I walked in, there was only 1 other person wearing a mask, out of about 10-15 or so others in the cafe. None of the employees were wearing them as well. The tables were cramped, and definitely not six feet apart. I had to shoo off flies while eating my donut, which made things feel more awkward. Iām really not one to ever complain, however I was quite shocked with the staffās total disregard for safety. Especially since most of the other customers seated there were elderly. I also saw people (without masks) putting a fake phone up to their mouth and posing in the storeās āOval Officeā display. The lady at the counter kept asking me to ārepeat my order,ā (a chocolate glazed donut) because I was wearing a mask. My order came out wrong, but at that point I was too hungry to go back up and complain. It still tasted fine, so that part wasnāt a huge deal overall.
Anyways, I get most other Conservatives believe this virus to be a hoax, but Itās pretty silly to me that they arenāt even trying to abide by any of the guidelines. If you want people to be more open minded about coming to your small business instead of Starbucks or DD, at least trying to comply would help.
Iād like to give this place a better review, as I really am happy to see an outspoken Conservative run business in the local area. However my concern for health and safety is more important than my concern about supporting a business that doesnāt seem to even care.
