Such an amazing suprise here in downtown Lake Wales! For those that haven't spent any time in small towns, this place is located on a street that would mirror any Main Street USA image. Their website does a great job giving their family history, community ties, &, of course, the menu, but the fun really started when we walked inside. This place is SPOTLESS! I headed straight to see the fresh desserts showcased on the counter & read the exciting lists of coffee/lattes/teas. (Next to it was a quite impressive list of diff beers & ciders).
The seating is fresh & modern w colors, lighting, & accessories that hold the warmth (while you're catching up w a dear friend you haven't seen in a cpl yrs). The natural light is great coming in from the windows across the storefront. If you like to browse/shop while you wait, they even have some shirts, jewelry, etc. quietly decorating a wall.
Be prepared for DELICIOUS food & drinks! Everything is incredibly fresh. It's not a huge menu; that's not their thing. My "1 bite" went out the door when I tried the pretzel & cheese appetizer. Their chicken salad sandwich made my day... brought back some great memories of my mom bc no one makes it like that anymore. The salads are ginormous. My friend was thrilled with the Lavender latte...something you definitely can't get everywhere. Without saying, the people were so friendly. They were about working on your schedule, taking ques from you, and never rushing. Even when they closed (earlier on Tues/Weds), they never said a word to us or did anything that made us think they had closed already to rush us out.
I'm beyond excited to have this place so close. Thank you to everyone at The Ranch for making our lunch (& my friend's 1.5hr drv) so worthwhile!

Good selection of beer and cider. The appetizer pretzel bread/beer cheese; bread/homemade pimento cheese were delicious! Can't wait to try lunch. The taproom is very nice inside. The co-owner was a delight to talk to. You should definitely visit!

The atmosphere is nice and the staff is great. We only tried their take on a cuban sandwich. It is not what I was expecting. I should have read the menu closer. It was interesting.

This is a nice spot for sandwiches and a variety of coffees. The beers on tap are great and varied. All food is made to order so expect a good wait. If pressed for time I advise ordering for carryout.

Wonderful. The food was home made lots of flavor. Loved it.

A true Gem in downtown Lake Wales. The atmosphere is great as is the food and coffee. The beer selection is eclectic and served with the style of an upscale brew house. Definitely try their homemade pimento cheese! Give this place a try!

First let me say the place is absolutely beautiful. Someone did a very good job with the decor and remodel. I'm all about trying out new places and try to support local businesses.
It appears this place is still relatively new so I hope the owner(s) read this and take it to heart. When you walk in, it is unclear if you are to seat yourself and a waitress comes to you or if you have to order at the counter (there isn't a host, a "seat yourself sign" OR a sign above the counter stating "order here"). We arrived at 5:00. Only one other table and there was staff behind the counter. We sat down and no one came or acknowledged we were even there. After 15 minutes we went up and ordered 2 coffees. The coffee arrived cold and old. The server offer to make a fresh pot which we appreciated. I also asked for a glass of water and some napkins (which you would think would have been offered or already brought). The fresh coffee arrived but no napkins and no water and no spoon to even stir the coffee. After asking again, the water arrived (no straw though they were in her apron) and still no napkins. The spoon that we were given was one of the tiny "jam" spoons. The coffee cups are AWESOME and very large but.....you couldn't stir the bottom of your cup with the spoon because your fingers would have to be submerged. The waitress returned once just to see if we were wanting to order (we really just wanted coffee). She never returned to see if we wanted a refill or water.
I will try the place again to try the food and see if the service is any better. I'm hoping they iron out the staff waitress training and make it more clear as to whether you order at the counter or if a waitress will bring a menu (a menu was never presented at our table but I'm seeing photos of menus on other reviews so there MUST be menus???).

Four of us went for late breakfast and enjoyed delicious breakfast croissant sandwichs, avacado toast, and typical breakfast; egg over easy with toast. Cafe au lait and cappuccino came to the table lukewarm, but we requested to reheat and our gal happily did that. Dry toast came with jam, however we asked for butter and it was promptly provided. All in all the server was smiley and attentive. We asked about the mural's AB branding on the animals and got a family history dating back to the grandparents who had a farm west of LW with a dog and pristine fields. The branding iron is shown in a display by the coffee maker and the ranch sign hangs over the taproom bar at the back. Such friendly locals that you've got to meet and dine in their grill & taproom.

I tried out The Ranch for lunch and had a Cuban sandwich that was amazing. They have a nice selection of craft beers and great coffee to pick from. My food exceeded my expectations! Very nice atmosphere and good service. Give this locally owned restaurant a try for sure!
