Cuban Coffee Queen Downtown (Southard and Duval)

We really wanted Cuban sandwiches so we found this place walking but I was disappointed with the customer service. Only one table had been cleaned after previous guests left. My bf ordered one of the lunch cuban sandwiches and thought it was good. I ordered a egg and cheese with no cheese plus bacon(which costs extra). Food came out fairly quick but the bacon in my sandwich wasn't fully cooked except one piece. So I took the rest back and asked them to cook it some more but she told me it was already cooked (the fat was still white rubbery and shiny like it came out of the package and they microwaved it for 10 seconds). Nonetheless, they never brought it back out. 😒 so we paid extra for nothing.

* To the owner, for clarification, the sandwich was never placed back on the counter as we kept looking for it and listening for them to announce that it was finished so we could go pick it up like we did initially. She kept my money and did not remake the bacon.

I always get delivery and it always comes within 30 minutes. I always get the key wester with sausage, a large iced cafe con Leche, and a hot Cafe con Leche. They are always tasty and hot when they arrive. The customer service is always great too.

Delightful, solid Cuban coffee place run by passionate owners. Tucked away in a charming alley surrounded by quaint restaurants.

The food is phenomenal, the drinks are amazing. The sandwiches are so good, it is a extremely good place to go to breakfast and even lunch. They are quick to make your food. It is compact but it is very cosy, the selection of food are amazing. The Atmosphere is so welcoming and the chickens in key West add a nice aura to this restaurant. The chickens don't get in your way and they really avoid you. It's a very nice place to get a snack or a meal. 10\10 would eat here everyday if I could.

We stopped at the other Cuban Coffee Queen location for coffee one morning, and went to this location for lunch! The sandwich’s were fantastic and the side of rice & beans was so tasty! You also can’t really beat the scenery since this location is situated under the LARGEST fiddle leaf fig I’ve ever seen... it is the size of an oak tree!

Food was incredibly well cooked, and was served to us within about 10 minutes. Would definitely recommend the steak sandwich. The hot sauce that they have goes very well with just about everything there. In addition, the coffee is incredibly good. While it is outside, the fans and cooling they have make it a very nice temperature.
