The French Press is a wonderful place to grab a fabulous cappuccino, pastry, breakfast sandwich or gelato! Owning a condo on-site since 2007, I have been coming to this little "gem" for years and it never disappoints! They are back up and running after Hurricane Ian so drop by and support them, you won't be disappointed😉👍!

I grabbed a late night mocha with my wife last night while out for a drive. Awesome coffee house and great service as usual. Great to see they're open again. Highly recommend.

we always visit this place whenever we are in town! Gorgeous little patio by the water and there is always some friendly little puppies to greet you. We love their lattes, avocado toast, bagel sandwiches, and delectable desserts! Definitely stop by this coffee shop.

Went last night for desert with a friend that was visiting. Mary who served us was wonderful we showed up late just before closing and she was welcoming funny.
The Gelato and brownie's were delicious. Great place in a beautiful location and if Mary is behind the counter you're in for treat.

This place is trashed after the storm, and is not open for business though Google Maps didn't accurately reflect its status.

*The three-star review isn't an insult--or even criticism. I was informing potential customers that the location is closed even though Google Maps indicates it is open (information I could have used); however, there's no way to do so without leaving stars.

In the original post, there weren't any personal attacks, accusations, nor were my comments libelous--unlike the many unflattering one and two-star reviews left by other patrons. I stated my experience factually and plainly; however, the owner, in their hysteria and pettiness, felt the need disinvite me from future patronage.

That's fine.

I rest content that their tantrum is on display for others to see. If they had any business sense, the wisest action would be to not respond rather than replying emotionally to a tame and impersonal post in such a public manner.

Obvious to any discerning eye is that they feel entitled to empathy while being passive-aggressive. Therefore, two things are trash: this place and the owner's attitude.*

My family and I are were in town for Easter and I wanted to go somewhere together for brunch. I chose this place because I loved the atmosphere, the coffee, and my kids love the gelato. We were disappointed with alot of he food on the buffet; scrambled eggs, prime rib, sausage, etc. The service was also terrible. We were seated without silverware at the table and when we came back with our food we still didn't have any after them assuring us we would. We then had to ask 3 more times for some before we just turned around and asked the girl standing at the bar. The girl goes, "oh, there you guys are" we were sitting at the table next to the bar, she could have reached her arm out and touched us we were that close. We also asked for water for everyone when we were seated and they didn't bring any for my daughter, I ended up sharing mine with her till someone finally came to the table and we could ask for another. Shortly after we received our silverware we were told that they were closing the buffet that if we wanted more to eat we should get it now. We had reservations at two because they said it was the only available time. We showed up a little early and they were able to seat us early. Why would they book a brunch reservation at two if the brunch was over at two?!? When we were given our bill my husband and I thought it was some kind of joke. We are not doing that again. The brunch is extremely over priced. I told the person in charge and she said there was nothing she could do about it cause that is the price that was advertised. I never saw an advertisement. If had I would have never gone there. I was on their website when I made the reservations and it didn't list the price. It's my fault I guess for not finding out first but I never would have imagined that kids brunch was $20 a piece and an adult was $40 each. My kids will be disappointed to not be able to have their gelato any more but that experience lost my business.

I have since decided to change my review because the owner has attempted to make things right and that quality I value. The atmosphere of this place, coffee and drinks can't be beat. Desserts are amazingly delicious.

By far the best place in the cape to get coffee and breakfast! They also have other tasty treats! I saw a shiny white thing in the glass case one morning and decided to order it! I was not let down! It turned out to be cheesecake covered in white chocolate on a graham cracker cookie and tasted awesome! They do need a better system for ordering as I witnessed a lot of confusion and mix-ups with the coffees but I'm sure they will get that sorted out.

We stopped for a pastry and a coffee. Perfect location to relax and sit by the water.

My first time going to this place and I really liked the atmosphere!!! It's right on the water!!! When I walked through the door, I was greeted by a friendly barista. He was super accommodating and knowledgeable. I ordered an oatmilk latte and biscuits and gravy. He told me to wait for my coffee at the end of the bar area. I assumed he knew I was dining in. The coffee came out in a paper cup.I asked the young lady who made it if I could have a ceramic mug since I was dining in. She looked at me funny and turned and walked away. I had to ask a different lady a second time for a for here cup. The second person reluctantly gave me the coffee in a for here cup. It seemed that the communication between the staff could definitely use some improvement. When my food came out, the friendly young man who took my order brought it to me. I ordered eggs over easy and they were pretty much hard boiled eggs on top of my biscuits. The biscuits were a bit dry and there was no butter on the plate. I paid $18 for the latte and breakfast platter. I used to work as a shift supervisor in different coffee shops so I completely understand how things can be miscommunicated...I think that the staff could use a little extra training on communication and your establishment would be fantastic!!! I really loved the atmosphere and will be back!!!
