The following is in response to a request from the restaurant to explain my rating:

My wife and I have been to your cafe for breakfast on numerous occasions over the past several years, and the food has been consistently very good. Yesterday however, it was terrible. I ordered (the very simple) scrambled eggs and bacon. The eggs were grossly overdone (nearly half of them were brown with dried out yellow and served chopped up into bits on the plate) and the bacon was grossly undercooked (with almost none of the fat rendered). The croissant was excellent, though. My wife ordered the avocado toast and the soft-poached eggs were nearly hard boiled and the avocado was almost butter-thin on the toast. We were both very disappointed.

What a gem! We’re visiting from out of town and so glad we found this place! The atmosphere is adorable. There is a large outdoor patio with tree and umbrella coverage. The food was delicious with a wide variety for everyone. I had one of the best Chia Teas I’ve had anywhere. Overall highly recommend this if you’re looking for a casual and delicious breakfast. I wish I had taken pictures of both the location and the food but it was perfect.

We loved it. Came for lunch and the salads were incredibly fresh and tasty. We'll be back for dinner!!!

This restaurant is fabulous! Since we found it we’ve gone every weekend! The menu and food are incredibly delicious, everyone who works there is so friendly and welcoming! Paul is great as is Elizabeth and Kayla makes the best breakfast vegetable burritos! Also such a serene atmosphere. ❤️

We tried this place on a recommendation from a friend one Sunday late morning. They told us the quality of food was superior & was worth the wait. The line was long so we thought "this must be worth it!". Hubbs tried the eggs benedict & I ordered the quiche & a cocktail. After quite a long wait and we were hungry enough that even average would have filled our needs, but the quiche was more of an "egg bake" - not warm - in a rectangle shape like out of a cake pan with burnt parts I cut off and unexceptional flavor (and fluffy more like a soufflé). Hubbs bun/bread was cardboard-ish and hollandaise mediocre at best. A stray calico cat came by our table and refused our leftovers! LOL! What does that say?
And really, after all that I might have even left 2 or 3 stars for the hard-working crew & decent presentation, but there was also unprofessional live music playing loudly (and off key). We sat on the more quiet side of the patio to enjoy the sun & view, but the musician just came right over to that side, so we just had to plug our ears until he left so we could even just talk with each other. Bummed this one didn't pan out.
To owner response: it was this April (2022) most likely the 3rd or 10th. If it would support your research, I can look up the specific date out our credit card to assure you of its validity.

Awesome little spot. I had the farmer's crepe. It was very good. The atmosphere was warm and friendly.

Dined last Sunday the 12th of Dec…
They had a two piece band outside. Very nice, not to loud and talented. You do have to walk in and order your food and pay. Then someone brings it out to you. We actually preferred this because we could order at our own pace. They do have people that get drink refills for you and clear your plates.
We loved the food and every minute of the ambiance! We will be back often!
A great place to spend time with loved ones and friends!
ENJOY!

What a gem! Classic French cuisine served in a relaxed friendly atmosphere. The neighborhood has an authentic vibe (unlike the rest of town) and this place contributes. Enjoy at any hour.

In historic downtown Bonita Springs is this hidden gem. At the height of the season, the place was packed but the service and the food was delicious. This is a slice of Paris in SW Florida. Highly Recommended!

I was over charged on 2 items and stood in line for an eternity to point this out and basically was told that the menu was wrong and there was nothing they could do about it. Been coming here for years. Unfortunately I am no longer going to be a patron here. The new staff isn’t very friendly or polite. Such a different place now. Loved the old Cafe Survey much better. It’s missing the charm and warmth that the owner used to bring to the place.
